1997 i30 rough idle and flashing CEL
I had previously typed out an incredibly detailed post but then my chrome crashed so I'm going to give the less detailed version.
My car has 214k miles and the CEL has been on since I bought it from my mom a little over a year ago. Haven't had any problems until recently. I got my tune up a few weeks ago. Spark plugs, coil boots, air filter, fuel filter. But after it was done I started having really bad shaking once I put the car in drive and it would stop once I got going, but the CEL would start blinking. I knew this was bad so I haven't driven it much since then. I asked the guy who did my tune-up and he said I had a leak on my valve cover gasket getting into my spark plug. I replaced the valve cover gasket and the intake manifold gasket. That didn't work. He said he noticed I had a bad ignition coil. Replaced that, didn't help. Took it to get the codes scanned I got P0600- communication line circuit malfunction and P0325- knock sensor circuit malfunction. I took it to a mechanic to see if he could find out what exactly was causing the issue but he said he couldn't do anything until I replace the knock sensor which he was going to charge me $190 for the part and $260 for labor. **** that. I bought the part on amazon for $20 and it helped the rough idle some but it still persists. The CEL was also still flashing.
I had my boss at my job look at it (I work at an 18 wheeler shop and he used to be a car mechanic) and we noticed something...

There is a stick in between my airbox and the hose. Now I'm not a car mechanic, but something tells me that isn't good for your car. Does anyone know what that part is called so I can buy it? Also he noticed that everytime he touched something metal he would get shocked. He said that means that I have another bad ignition coil which is probably causing the P0600 code. Just any advice you guys have would be great, I can't go without a car for very long. I also bought some MAF sensor cleaner to see if that helps any.

Dude, I have the FSM and P0600 is coming up Trans Comm Line.
This FSM says that it points to the harness between the ECM and the AT Control Unit, or a short in the AC control unit. Have you noticed riough shifting up and down? I can email you the FSM if you PM me. or you can probably find online.
