Headlight issues

Hey guys, so I recently had my driver side headlight go out and I tried replacing it, everything is in place but it's not working. My auxiliary light comes on and one time it worked for awhile while I was driving. Any suggestions?

What year is your car? The wiring is not the same on all years.

Some general troubleshooting tips:

Maybe the new bulb is bad. Try swapping it with the other side headlight.

Trace the ground wire from the headlight socket to where it attaches to the chassis. Maybe it is loose or corroded.

Try wiggling the headlight switch.

'04 i35. I'll try the switch and go from there. Bought it from Advanced Autoparts under a cheap warranty so if it's bad I'll just take it back. Thanks for the advice!
