99 130 coolant leak

I have a 99 i30. Thinking it's the water pump from everything I've read up on but wouldn't the coolant be getting into the oil being that it's in the timing cover?? There is no coolant mixing with the oil. I have traced where it trickles down from behind the alternator and ac compressor. All signs point to it being the water pump. I guess I just don't want to believe it and have to tear into it lol.

There are 2 O rings on the pump body, one on the coolant side and one on the oil side. Between the 2 is a hole to let leaking fluid escape. It's a fail safe and there is very little chance the two could mix.
