On Ebay: 1998 Nissan Maxima SE Black/Black Leather 5MT Mods Rare in NEW JERSEY $4750
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330059849550
I have up for sale my Maxima which I purchased just over 3 years ago, it was BONE-STOCK and had 69,000 Miles on it. It now has 109,XXX on it and is driven maybe once a week. This is my second 4th Gen, the only reason I am selling is because I have a bio-diesel project that needs my immediate attention/money. I will most likely end up buying another Maxima within the next year or two but I sadly just cannot afford to keep it right now.

DOWNFALLS: (I am picky but I like to address everything to buyers)
--Body and Paint are in Good shape for being 9 years old, does have a good number of scratches, couple of small pings on the body. Inside the engine bay, there is a very thin strip of rust on the front driver side fender, it is under the hood and may only be seen is looking through the crack between the fender and the hood (Not Serious RUST at All).
--Rear Driver Side outer taillight has small crack with corner piece broken off.
--Sometimes after Florida Hurricane rains, small amount of water will be present in spare tire well, looks to come from the driver side rear taillight- Should just need a Re-seal.
--Rear Bumper has smudge from where it had contact with another cars bumper, I am including another OEM bumper anyway- When I bought the car, I noticed that the rear bumper had been overtightened so it caused it to be warped, I had always wanted to just replace it anyways just haven't had time to get the new bumper painted.
--Sunroof Visor has a slight crack in it, works/looks fine though.
--Carbon Fiber Dash kit is not highest quality, I always personally wanted to go to a junkyard and replace the pieces with stock ones, Just my preference.

**Plenum Gasket REPLACED on 11/29/2006 @ NISSAN DEALERSHIP. 108,575 miles
This car is in good condition compared to the average nine year old car. Please ask me any questions you may have, you may view pictures on my cardomain and I will work on getting CURRENT PICTURES THIS WEEK>... I'm sure you all know what a black maxima dropped with stock 18s looks like though, A lip kit would finish this car off nicely.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Maxima require a minimum of 91 Octane?

And good luck getting $6500 for it... I can't even muster $4500 for my '97 in similar if not better shape. =(

Yeah where I am in FL 89 is mid-grade, I wouldn't say that it is required anyway considering the majority of people with fourth gen's over 200k probably use 87 Regular Unleaded.
I am open to offers on this car... The vehicle has great color combo along with over 40k less miles then your car~~kind of alot!
Let me know if you have any questions, I will get updated pictures once I get my hands on a camera.

Actually, I thought it said in the owner's manual to only use premium. If you don't, I thought it caused the engine to knock? I may be incorrect.
VERY NICE though. If you were just a "tad" closer and I had just a "tad" bit more cash to spend, I'd definitely have to take your car for a test drive!

I cannot verify what kind of accidents this car was in, in the past 3 years since I have owned it the only accident its had was my girl backed into my buddies car, it was only at about 2mph and it left a white smudge on the corner of the rear bumper. When I bought the car, I was under the impression the rear bumper was overtightened because the bottom corners sort of POINT out, like the bumper was being pulled closer to the body of the car then it should. I will try to get pictures of the ASAP... I also will pull out the carfax from a while back.

Mileage Appears to be Correct... Has Carfax Buy back guarantee last I saw.
The car had one reported accident 01/25/2000... Does not provide details.
I am glad you asked me this because it reminded me that I had a dent pulled from the roof about a year ago, they also had to refinish the roof.. I have the receipt and warrantee packet with all receipts. JOB COST $1775.00... I wish I had just gotten the whole car done but the shop was VERY PRICEY...
Please ask all questions, I want to be as honest as I can about this vehicle and if someone makes a reasonable offer I will be forced to sell because I have alot of bills.
Chris Gregg, Are you interested??

Car is going to be on Ebay this evening for a SEVEN DAY auction. I will have a full listing of pictures taken this afternoon on there. The car will sell with no reserve as-is in New Jersey, if the buyer prefers I can drive the car down to Florida for $200 if that is closer on January 5th. I will post the link in a few hours...

Mark, I'm sorry but I am actually selling to have one less car in the driveway, can't afford insurances anymore. My price is $5000 firm, a friend told me he would buy the car in a couple months for that but its alittle long for me to wait so if I get my price it will have to go. I am also willing to sell a replacement OEM rear bumper and two brand new spare tires for virtually shipping costs, maybe a couple bucks for packaging fee's.. I think that is a more than fair price because the car definately sits between fair/good condition.

don't know if you remember, or have a record of it, but what did the dealership charge for replacement of the plenum gasket. i have a leak in mine, and from what i've read it is a pain in the *** to get the plenum off and finish the job; something i would normally love to tackle if i had the time.

Hey,
It was only $300 out the door to diagnose and repair the problem, so if you are positive that is the problem you may get by for about $210... good luck,
I replace maf, throttlebody, all that n just decided the plenum gasket was not worth my time of changing... plus its safer to have them do it since they have done it b4//
