I decided now is the time to try to sell my maxima.
I've had it for 5 years now and have had to only
fix minor things with it.


motor and tranny and clutch is stock.
new brake rotors and pads within 20k
new rims 2 years ago
new tires 20k
all stereo is stock bose
all interior is stock
new bat. and alt. 2 yrs. ago
everything is pretty much stock on the car

I'll have to sell it here locally but thought I'd put it here just in case
someone wants a well taken care of and dependable Maxima.

 

Nice car, but at that many miles I'd just keep driving it...

 

ya I think that somedays,but if I can get 2500 I'll let it go. If not we
will see what these cars are made of. Maybe Nissan will give me a
free car @ 500,000 lol

 

If they are like Saab, you need to get to a million before the free car.

ya I guess nissan would lose alot of money, because alot
of their cars would make that 1,000,000 mile mark.

Ha, that's funny, because I bought a 1998 Maxima 5spd for about $4,000 with 132K miles. $3,000 is a little high for a car with 250K miles, dude.

Can't someone just cheat and jack the car up and leave it running every night with the throttle slightly depressed... Stress free miles. It's a waste of gas but worth it in the long run if you get a brand new car out of it.

Alternatively, can't someone just tamper with the odometer or even swap in a higher mileage one to get a head start?

Do they do investigations into these things? heh

 

figuring you get 500mi/tank @ $40/tank, it would end up at costing $80k to hopefully get a new car.

odo tampering would be the best option..

So interested in this it's not even funny. I just lost my beloved 91 GXE to an ill-fated high speed encounter with a non-movable object (namely a median) and you're the only person with a decent looking VE 5-speed within 600 miles of me. Granted this thread looks a little dead, and you said someone wanted it locally, but if by some act of god you still have this car for sale PLEASE let me know.
