2000 Maxima SE Auto $9900 74k miles Philly Burbs
2000 Maxima SE Auto $9900 74k miles Philly Burbs
Bought this Max only 2 months ago from an ad on this board. Original post with his pics and info is here http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=504334 .
Why am I selling this so soon? Because I have been driving a 1997 BMW M3 Sedan for the past 6 years and just do not like the different feel of the front wheel drive car. There is nothing wrong with the car except that it is not a rear wheel drive BMW M car. Before I bought the M3 in 2001, I had bought a new 98 Max Se and loved it. So I checked out this more powerful 2000 Max and did like it but after 2 months and 2k miles, it just does not scratch the itch like I thought it would.
Weather is just getting good so I will post more pics on Saturday.
What I have done in the 2 months of ownership:
PA inspection and emissions - passed with no problems
oil/filter change
Tranny fluid flush/change
Prev owner had put new front rotors and pads on but they feel like crap so I bought a set of front and rear rotors and all pads from Dave Zeckenhausen and they will be installed before the car sells. Driver heated seat stopped working 2 weeks ago and that will also be fixed before it sells.
Bought a set of mint 16" Gen 4 Max SE wheels and put Bridgestone my M3's 225/50/16 LM22 winter performance tires on them. They are on the car right now.
17" Max SE wheels are in very good shape - 1 has some mounting rash, but they will need new tires sometime soon. There is tread and it would pass inspection at 2/32", just depends on how far you wear yours down. I was going to replace them shortly before putting them back on the car for spring.
So if interested fire away with questions and I will check in early and often.
Asking a firm $9900 for everything listed above. If you want to haggle to save $$$, we can especially if you don't want the winter wheel/tire set or the brakes or the heated seat fixed.

The front rotors and pads are fairly new since the previous owner installed them when he put the car up for sale, probably 3k miles on them, but they have a shimmy under braking. My mechanic said it would be about $200 to turn the front rotors.
