FS: 1989 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed Pearl **$750.00**
FS: 1989 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed Pearl **$750.00**
This is it! I'm parting with my 89 SE (pearl glow, 5-speed, ABS, cloth, 217K miles) which I've loved and driven for over 17 years. My wife thinks I'm insane to be so attached to this car and has finally said I can only keep one, either her or the car.
I ran an ad a few years ago, had a few offers, but wasn't willing to give it up. This time I'm (or she's) serious, I can't keep it. Anyhow, all the info and photos are here: http://home.swbell.net/bcampion/auto.html
P.S.: If you're planning to part it out, that's fine. Just don't tell me.

Insurance Question
I'm in North San Antonio. Anyone interested just email me at bcampion@swbell.net. Put maxima.org somewhere in the title and I'll be sure to respond. I placed an ad on Craigslist and now have hundreds of people emailing me which normally wouldn't be bad, except I've had terrible luck so far.
The first Craigslister told me he knew how to drive a stick and proceeded to drive right into the back of my wife's 2004 Maxima. The damage isn't really that bad. I'll post some photos tomorrow. I called my insurance and they say I'm totally liable. Let this be a lesson:
IF YOU LET SOMEONE TEST DRIVE YOUR CAR, MAKE SURE THAT YOU START THEM OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF A WIDE OPEN PARKING LOT.
I guess that's why car dealers insist that the salesperson drive the vehicle off the lot first.
The guy who wrecked my cars, says he'll pay, but I really doubt he will. After all, he also told me he knew how to drive a standard!

Vehicle Sold
Sold the vehicle locally for $800 (to someone who actually knows how to drive it). The sunroof liner came off track when I was demo-ing it. The sunroof itself still worked but the liner cover wouldn't close. Probably a simple fix. Still kind of embarassing, but I never use the sunroof.
Thanks for the calls and comments. Guess I'll focus on my 2004 Max now. Make sure it lasts 217,000 miles.
