got a 97 GLE with 41k (41,800 [forty one thousand eight hundred]) miles from an old lady who barely used the thing. the exterior is a little dinged here and there and the interior is filthy but the thing is rock solid. nice smooth leather, sunroof, practically new bose (old people dont pump the system like us younger types). got a steal too - $4500.

Sorry gunny that I've not provided them pics ... the tires/wheels are stuck pretty far back in my garage and I've not had the time to get them out and picuter them. If you find another deal, please go ahead with it...I'll keep trying, but I dont want to hold you up if you can get them elsewhere...thanks anyways! Will advise if/when I do get them pictured.

I bought the car in Sept 2004 right from these boards. I forgot the persons screen name, and name altogether, but he was the original owner and lived in Indianapollis. I have all the original paperwork from him, including I think the window sticker, etc. He maintained the car very well...that's why I flew to him and drove it back to PA (at the time).

The only mods I've done were installed Progress Technology springs summer of 2006. I've also tinted, or had the windows tinted to 15%. Clear turn signals. Enkie 17" wheels and Toyo Tires - which are not much to speak of cause they'll need replacing.

Oil changes more like every 5k than 3k ... my daily commute and drive conditions were not demanding enough.

Replaced knock sensor in 2006, but needs replacing again, only cause it's bringing up the code.

Still have the original everythings.

As I said, we are getting a different/new car, so this will either be a trade in, or a private sale, or I'll just keep the thing if neither one fetches an agreeable price.
