Wanted:91-94 Max

Hey everyone

I'm 16 looking for a nice max to sit in. I have $1,300 now (hopefully more in a few weeks). I love the look of maxima's and i really think its my favorite car out there. I really would prefer 5-speed. Color really doesn't matter to me, as long as the engine runs and it's in decent condition. Give me a PM, I'm located in NY right now i would also like the car to be pretty close to me. Get back to me!

yeah, futters got a point. its not too bad of a car.

fair market value of these cars is a little more than 1300....

and if the cash flow adds money to the pile, then hey!

don't forget title/insurance/gas/etc. when i was 16, we all forgot about that stuff. Im sure you've got a level head, but i wanted to mention it just in case.

Oh yes. I worked out a deal with my dad that if i could pay for the car he'd help pay for the insurance for me. It's crazy what they charge for 16 year old drivers, especially guys.

I used to think the same thing. Now I am 23 (2 years till the big premium drop) and now I see why. I drive past my old high school and see these dumba$$es driving stupid. I was the same. I was racing with a friend and we rear ended a cop! We only hit him going about 20mph by time my friend nailed the brakes.

I was just kidding anyway. No one wants a car that has problems and needs work for their first car. My conscious would kick in before he cut the check lol.

90 Black Maxima SE, 5sp. Rust in the expected areas, but not bad enough for seat belt to fall out yet. 170 ish k on the odo, engine still runs strong. Clutch is in ok condition, but may need to be replaced in about 10-20k miles.

The good:

It still runs
oil changed every 2k
gets about 300 mpg, a little more if you don't gun it all the time
no rips on the seats
timing belt and water pump is good for another 30k miles (had it serviced at 140k miles)
new radiator

The bad:

brakes may needs to be bled.
passenger side control arm is shot.
leaking power steering high pressure hose.
main seals are leaking, (can just ignore it and keep driving it to the ground)
Hood is slightly bent, no body damage and hood still locks/latches
Heat is very weak (possibly clogged heater core).

Basically, the car is no beauty, but if you need it as a first 5 speed car or just looking for a car to beat around in, then it will get the job done.

I'm located in South Jersey, and I am confident that the car will make the trip to NY no problem. asking $650, for a little more, I can leave the car computer set up intact. Interested? PM me.

i'd really much rather have a 5speed, and also maybe something a bit less milage. Willing to pay 1,600 now if anyone is willing.

Sounds like a deal almost to me, just have a few questions--Is the inspection up to date, and what mods have you done to it? Were the miles highway, or city miles?

yes the miles are highway miles and your in long island so the inspection wouldnt do you any good im in PA.i drive the car every other day to new jersey about 140 miles so it travels the high all the time. the car needs an axle but all it does is click you can make it to spring that way and you will need to put the cat back on but i think its a perfect opp to get the warpspeed pipe and a cat back with your extra cash so you can start modding the car.those two reason is why im willing to let the car go for $1000.i replaced all the coils (not cheap to do)and the mass air so no worries there. i have pics of the car but i dont know how to post them here.email me here and ill give me your email and ill send you the pics.
