off market until spring or good offer
Hello all. I haven't located my next car just yet but have my eyes set on a few things. This is my second 4th gen maxima, both fully loaded SE models, and both moderately modded only.
I've owned and sold (all in great shape and taken care of):
98 maxima SE
99 maxima SE-L
mr2 turbo
240sx
300zx twin turbo
evolution IX
supercharged camry
I bought this car in September of 2007 from an older gentleman whose wife was the primary driver. I know everyone uses that type of thing as a boost for their ad, but no joke, this couple had a race Porsche in their garage and knew how to take care of their cars. He had picked up a WRX to take the place of the Max for his wife.
After i lost my old max in 2003, i was looking and looking for the perfect one to relive the experience. And as you can see, it is a prime example of a 4gen:
1999 Maxima SE-Limited
5-speed manual
Black exterior
Black leather
power sunroof
Bose audio system
I bought the car with 88,000 miles and this is my daily so I do put quite a few miles on per year, driving up and down the highway.
It has been DEALER maintained, which isnt pretty when it comes to cash but at least i'm confident in the service:
Regular Oil Changes @ Nissan dealership
NEW CLUTCH
REAR MAIN SEAL repaired
REPLACED 6 COIL PACKS
BRAKE WORK & REAR CALIPERS
NEW AC COMPRESSOR (going in)
I've spent several thousands in parts and labor, I guess it was just time to do a bunch of things. But i don't regret it , and the buyer won't either since these cars are made to LAST. Believe me, I'm not getting back the money I put into her..
I don't like to beat on my cars as that will just cause problems that will come back to haunt me. When you take care of your ride, it'll take care of you I believe.
MODIFICATIONS:
-K&N Intake w/JWT Pop Charger
-Budget exhaust Y-Pipe
-Stillen rear section exhaust
-Courtesy Nissan Strut bar
-Addco Rear Sway bar
-Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks
-K-sport lowering springs
-clear corner lens
-red/clear tail lights
-Stillen urethane full body kit
-Ionic half roof spoiler
-18" Sport Max wheels
-235/40/18 Sumitomo HTR+ tires, great tread
-6000k HID kit
-MOMO pedal set
-JDM 350z sidemarker lights
If you know your 4gens, you'll see the value in this increasingly rare blk/blk fully loaded se-L, 5-speed manual.
price>>>
i doubt i'll be reducing price any time soon. I've spent too much making it reliable for the next owner. if anyone's seriously looking for a top of the line 4gen, and have questions:
