GI: 97 SE 5spd, QN0 (White Pearl)
1997 Nissan Maxima SE
QN0 Pearl White
5 Speed Manual
125k miles
Location: Middle Tennessee (The 'Boro)
New parts:
Clutch, from 2000-2001 Maxima.
Struts, full assemblies, both front - Monroe QuickStruts.
Tires, ~10k miles on the set, American Eagle H2.
Brakes, Wagner brand, lifetime guarantee pads; freshly turned rotors.
The Good:
The car drives like it is practically new.
The A/C is ice cold, the heat is great as well.
The JVC head unit is connected to my BOSE speakers, great sound.
Fully operating sunroof, no issues.
Independent Foglights
AE Headlights
Clear bumper lights
Red/Clear Tails (Soon to be Black/Clear Tails)
Black M_A_X_I_M_A Emblem
Custom black "SE" Emblem (From an older SEntra)
Amsoil cone filter, HTP MAF Adapter
All parts on the car are working like they should, both inside the car and out.
The Bad:
A tornado visited my house on April 10th this year, and as a result...
...the car is totaled.
By totaled, I mean my insurance company sent me a check for the "FMV" of the car, minus the buy-back.
Since the car is totaled, nobody will ever be able to put full-coverage insurance on it, only PLPD (Liability)
If the car is involved in ANY accident (at-fault or not), repairs will be out of pocket.
The Ugly:
The tornado damaged a few parts of my car:
Hood, replaced
Driver's side mirror, replaced
Clearance lights, replaced
Driver's side fender
Driver's side quarter panel
All sides - scattered scratches (flying shingles)
Trim around windows - scattered scuffs (flying shingles)
With that out of the way...
The car drives perfect. The car all-in-all is in decent condition. It definitely looks better now than the day of the tornado. It definitely still drives like a champ.
I can upload some pics if this thread gets any play.
