CAR HAS BEEN SOLD

i will try to list out everything that i can about this car so that whoever reads this post will get a true representation of the condition of the car. there's nothing worse than driving 3 hours to look at a car only to find that the seller left out something pretty significant (ask me how i know).

as the title says, it's a black 1997 se 5-speed with 156,187 miles. i am selling because i decided to go a different direction with a vehicle and bought a jeep wrangler. i bought the car in september 2004 and since then it has treated me well. i am the second owner. the previous owner was an adult and treated the car very well and since i owned the car i have driven it pretty conservatively... i would average around 26-27 mpg non-highway (not stop and go city, but regular backroads).

mods:
hacked airbox w/k&n filter
budget y-pipe
custom cat-back (lou's custom exhaust with quiet muffler)
b&m short throw shifter

the good:
-body is in good shape for a 12/13 yr old car
-interior is very clean
-non-smoker
-new shocks/struts in september, less than 100 miles on them
-alignment done after replacing shocks/struts
-engine runs strong (no CEL)
-no problems with transmission
-new clutch in 2005, ~30k miles ago
-have used synthetic oil since owning the car
-a/c works great (replaced blower motor resistor mid 2008 - common failure item)
-drivers side e-brake cable was replaced (was rusted/binding)
-cv shafts have either been replaced or had new boots installed

the bad:
-when replacing the passenger side axle i thought i had to take out the ABS sensor to get some more room, but i ended up breaking the sensor. i got the old sensor out (the hard part!) but i never got around to putting a new one in... so the ABS light is on.
-has the typical maxima rust (front fenders, radiator support). i put bracing along the radiator support so it is good and strong, however the new owner may choose to replace it. i put stop-rust on the fender rust spots so the rust has not spread, but it is still there.
-will need at least 2 new tires. one i have put a bunch of fix-a-flat in which has caused the car to vibrate at highway speed.
-will need 4 new speakers. 2 were blown and i needed 2 in my jeep when i got it.
-engine has a slow oil leak. the rear main seal was replaced twice, but i just haven't had the time to track down this leak.
-few paint chips in the front... typical 12 yr old paintjob

at the moment that's all that i can think of. overall the car is in good shape, but as with any used car there is always something that you'll find wrong with it. i'm sure there are more things that i forgot to add, but at least i got the major ones in there. i would rather sell this car to someone that knows maximas and will be able to keep up with the maintenance and knows the little maxima quirks.

please feel free to email me at "vettefever5 @ hotmail.com" (without spaces) with any questions. i am asking $2100, but am open for negotiations...and as always, cash talks. below are a few quick pictures that i took, but if there are any specific ones that you would like to see just let me know.

*EDITED PRICE* 5/29
I will sell for $1900 with ABS sensor and speakers replaced, $1700 as-is

btt... i would like to get this sold by the weekend, or at least get some interest. if no bites then it will be sold at a used car auction. i would like to sell it to someone privately instead of them paying more for the same car at a used car dealer.

2100 is not firm, just a starting point.

someone try lowballing me... see where it goes. this would make a good second dd or winter car. it's not too expensive to insure.

for the right price i'll replace the abs sensor and all 4 speakers so the buyer doesn't have to deal with those.
