My mom's looking for a car she can drive to work with. I'd like her to get a Maxima. We'd prefer not to spend over $5k, but if the car's miles are low enough, it has all of the options, and the condition is good, we may consider it.

Ideally, for a 2000-2001 I'd like SEs only (preferably with leather). Mileage doesn't matter, as long as the price is right. For 2002-03s GLE or SE is fine.

Automatic is a must, of course. Hahaha.

 

Have you tried Autotrader? I found it a great tool to find what you are looking for.

 

Been hunting on AutoTrader, Cars.com, and CraigsList for many days now. Have seen some cars, already. Some people I simply didn't want to deal with (attitudes, shady nature), while other cars had some mechanical issues. I test drove an 20th AE today and the car was very nice, but clearly had a broken VIAS and needed some maintenance (belts, brake pads, hole in muffler, etc.) =(

I really did want that AE, though.

 

I have my 2000 SE that is going up for sale in metro NYC (Queens), 29,000 original miles and I've owned it since NEW - but it's a 5 speed. Fully loaded, Charcoal exterior, grey leather, garage kept. Oh well.
