02 Max 6MT Cattmobile for sale in AZ

I need to get serious about selling the "Cattmobile", my 02 Maxima. I've held onto this Maxima longer than usual (almost 6 years) because I really like the car, but we need a newer model for parts development. Give me a call at 800.759.9920 (open 9-5 MST, M-F) to ask questions or discuss the sale.

Basic vehicle - 2002 Maxima SE w/ 6-speed transmission, dark blue paint black leather interior, Bose stereo, moonroof. Vehicle is very low mileage (about 60k) and is in excellent mechanical condition. Interior is excellent, body is straight, and paint is in pretty good condition (for Nissan paint).

Price/Location - The asking price for the Cattmobile is $9500, and its available for inspection and delivery in Tucson, Arizona. Fly down, and have a great road trip driving back.

History - I am the second owner, after buying the car with 20k miles in 2004 from a friend whose wife drove it in Southern California. Its been in Arizona ever since; never seen ice or snow, and precious little rain. It may seem hard to believe, but this car has never been raced or abused in any way, and I'll be glad to explain why to the serious buyer.

Performance modifications - The Cattmobile has a basic set of performance bolt-ons, but nothing too exotic because its always been a family car and needed to be reliable. We used this vehicle to develop the Cattman headers, so we know the car makes about 245whp as its set up now, with a lot of added power across the entire RPM range. Here's a fairly comprehensive list of mods:
  • Cattman exhaust (header/y-pipe, FastCat, catback)
  • JWT POPCharger intake
  • Watkins short shifter kit and ES 6MT bushing set
  • Aluminum front strut tower bar
  • CHOICE of suspensions - 700# front/400# rear coilovers, Progress springs w/ GR2 struts, or low mileage stock
  • Progress rear swaybar
  • Nearly new 245.45.18 Toyo Proxes4 tires on excellent 18x8 ROH DriftR rims
  • Smoked front corner lenses w/ yellow bulbs

Photos (for slide show with more pics, click here):

Its a great car, and a piece of Maxima performance history. I look forward to hearing from serious buyers.

Might have to check it out, at the very least to see it. Pretty sure I'm heading to Phoenix to do a week's worth of detailing (weather here has just been awful) and have a couple cars in Tucson I'll be detailing on my way back.

Maybe we can just trade straight across.

I'm trying to sell my truck currently. If I can in a reasonable amount of time i'll be calling you. My wife and I have an 03 auto, and I wanted a manual max to modify. I can save the time and money and just buy yours. I'll be in touch if I can sell my 99 Sonoma.

It would be ironic if the new owner was a master detailer since I've never been able to find a decent one here in Tucson. Of course you'd be welcome to check out the car. Send me a PM or, better yet, give us a call to make arrangements or ask questions.

Don't know if you were thinking about a 6MT swap, but you're always better off just buying the car that way. Easier/cheaper to swap a motor than a transmission. Let me know if you sell your truck.

Sorry if i wasn't clear. I want to keep my 03 auto the way it is for my wife, and i wanted to buy a second Maxima that was manual to modify to my liking. Yours has everything I want, so I can save myself the trouble and just buy yours since its so well put together.
