WTB - BLUE 02 03 6spd UPDATE!!!!

I know this is a super long shot on this site but if someone would want to trade me their 6spd Max for my 06 5 spd FULLY LOADED HHR 2.4 174HP that is something I would like to do too....

I live in PA but willing to drive/fly for right car

Ok here is "perfect world" scenario.

BLUE 6 speed Manual shift
03 Ti Edition
HLSD
Gray heated leather
Sunroof
6 disc Bose in-dash
NO NAV!

If your car doesn't meet all the criteria; here is a more realistic view:

MUST HAVE'S

1. BLUE
2. HLSD
3. LEATHER
4. 6 disc in-dash
5. Stock tail lights
6. Sunroof

I Can live without's

1. Heated leather
2. Ti edition
3. Black leather is ok; gray is preferred

I would like stock but tasteful light mods are welcome ie (no superchargers or turbos) anything short of those is fine and considered light.

I like the stock tail lights so if you have changed them please have the stock ones included with the sale. You can either change them yourself and sell the after market ones or you can just give me the stock ones and I'll change them when I get it home.

I would like to stay in the 8K range but willing to go as high as 10K for the right/perfect car. If I am spending 10 your car has to have no more than 100,000 miles on it.

My problem is I was spoiled when I bought my 02 a year and a half ago. I had the perfect car it had everything I wanted except that it wasn't a Ti obviously. My wife took out a deer with it and as much as I begged for Gieco to let me keep it they totaled it. I have wanted another one ever since. I now I have the "luxury" of being able to afford one on terms that I feel are conducive to both myself and the seller. I have the money to spend and you might get higher than book value out of your car if it fit my criteria.

Any feed back is welcome and don't worry about hurting my feelings I'm a big boy I can take it. I think I am being realistic and as fair as I can be. I am pretty much laying all my cards out for everyone to see.

I hope I can find what I am looking for because I have spent countless hours on CL, Cars.com, and Auto Trader looking and not finding what I want. I have also drove a total of 965 miles to look at cars that just weren't worth it. You can either call text or PM me here cell # 814 229 7816

Ummm no offense but I am looking for a good clean car. There should be no reason to have any of the issues you mentioned other than he beat it and/or didn't check the oil (even with that amount of miles). I average 190K out of original clutches and I have NEVER blown a trans except in a SHO the 2nd month after I bought it because the P/O beat it and those cars are know for bad transmissions. High miles is one thing but sight unseen going oh how he treated the Motor and trans my offer would be somewhere in the bachelorhood of 2K and if it needs a motor... you might as well call the salvage yard.

4100 needing a Motor... I guess there is a big difference in market value depending on where you live. Seriously if that car were in PA my numbers are very realistic. Hey I am happy for your friend that he got that much for it. That car just wasn't what I am in the market for. The guy in CA has Exactly what I am looking for.

Well if you are looking at getting the one on CL that is in Buffalo I have already taken the drive and I can tell you all about it. It isn't worth the 8900 he is asking.

Not sure I follow that one... I take it to mean that I shouldn't have let the wife drive? Hey if it happened like she said it did I can't say much other than if I was driving I would have been doing 10 to 15 miles an hour faster and might have hurt the kids in the back seat... She was driving kids are fine and the best part my insurance company paid me $900 more than what I paid for it a year earlier when I bought it. How sweet was that I put 28000 miles on it and that is true numbers I have documentation as proof so they paid me to drive it! How often does that happen? I owed 4650 on it and put the rest (4200) in the bank after my $1000 deductible.

That is one thing I have been pretty proud of up until this stupid HHR I have and that is I have NEVER made a bad deal or lost in a car. I might have to fight with insurance companies tooth and nail to get what is owed but I have won both times I had to do it. The 02 Max was the first and a month later it was my 96 Accord 5 spd with 220K that they paid me 3500 plus taxes for after I bought the car 2 months earlier for 2500... OH ya

Yep... I would go for others but I am most forgiving of the Blue. If had had the choice of a MINT other color and a Blue with same options and miles with blemishes... within reason and they were the same price I would take the blue one all day long and twice on Sunday... Not much more I can say about it. I think I have about oh say 15 hours or so comp time invested so far and about 24 hours drive time and still looking for the right one. Funny thing is I was smart when my car got totaled I wrote out about 5 notes hidden throughout the car with my # on it saying if you wanted to know about the car to call me. IT WORKED the guy called me about 3 months later. I bought it in Phili and it wound up back in Phili how messed up is that? I live 475 miles away from there... I've thought about getting it back but... I know how he fixed it and it will have the R title stigma and it was an oil eater so much so that I just put a K&N oil filter on it and never changed the oil because i was going through a quart a week.

Maxi for the wife

I just want a Maxima Period. I usually buy it for me but the reality is I drive way too much to work and back so I always end up having a beater on the side (as not to put the 32K a year on the Max). She takes the "good car" through the week and any family trips I drive the good car or if I want an exhilarating drive to work . I think it works for all. I own a Max I get to drive it and have fun in it whenever I want. The miles say reasonable because the wife drives it through the week. Best of all as all married guys know happy wife happy life lol. Ya there is no doubt having 2 would be awesome! I have to find them one at a time though. As time goes on I might change my criteria because now she says that she likes silver charcoal and the blue... We will see. I just know I love the blue. In mean time I have seen the light and have matured in my opinion and decided if I can't beat 'em (sell the HHR) join 'em (mod the **** out of it until you like it. I was some mad about not having ANY storage in the POS that I ripped the box dash out and took a razor knife to the underside of the compartment just to gain a full inch and a half depth to run new AC power accessories. Almost sliced up an air bag harness but was careful not to lol. Man GM is shyt. The hitch goes on first part of Next week. Stereo system to follow and that is the ONLY good thing about the battery being in the back!

I take it from your post you looked at an auto Camry for your wife... and don't take offense if I am wrong but I only assumed that because a stick in those is super rare! To my point, I don't know where you live or what lengths you are willing to go but, if you look at my other classified thread

(Gen 5.5 AUTOs for sale CHEAP PA and NY)

There are some good deals there and they are all autos. I will continue to post there as I find more good deals.

don't mind helping others but geez guys throw ME a freakin bone here lol j/k

I still haven't heard back from the guy in CA

It's not nice to tease
