WTB: '92 se 5spd
SO, if you want a DOHC SE, look for '92-'94 SE's. Those two extra years will really help your search.
I'm in Dallas and could've sold you one of my '92 SE 5 speeds, but it sold about a month ago.
Also, IMO, you might actually want to focus on a '93 or '94 SE 5 speed. The '93+ came with factory r134a A/C systems (the '92s still had the now obsolete r12 A/C system). That will make it ALOT cheaper/easier to work with if you ever have A/C problems in it.
Anyway, good luck with your search. Check the OK, AR, and maybe Texas CL's daily. You'll find something if you look in a large enough geographic circle. I'm also partial to the DOHC SE's. I've had four of them

There's a DOHC SE. Not sure if it's a 5 speed or not. Has fugly wheels on it, and needs some work, so you can probably get it cheaper than the asking price

There's a 5 speed manual. Needs some work too, so you might get it for a little cheaper (if it's still available)

How far do you want to drive and how much do you want to pay?
Mine has working AC, even if it's R12. I don't know how hard it is to convert, but I have a 93 sitting in my driveway with an AC unit still left on it.
I also have zero rust and a truck load of spare parts, plus the mods that are on it.

Im also in the hunt for a 92-94 SE 5-Speed and have about $2,500 to spend... maybe more for the right car, but Im in Virginia.
Seems like this car is my Unicorn right now...
Are DOHC SE 5-Speeds extinct?
