Up for sale is my daily driver for the past year, a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE. Five-speed manual
automatic climate control works perfectly, AC blows cold, power windows, locks, sunroof, power seats, etc. 3.0 liter VQ30DEK V6 engine, 222 hp. 160,xxx miles. Excellent daily driver, family car, student's car, or whatever you want to do with it. I've put about 10k miles on this car since I've had it. Since I've had it, I've done the following:
-Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable struts, H&R springs (This combination is generally regarded as the best compromise between handling and ride quality for the Maxima...really nice ride, slightly firmer than stock. Well suited to the character of the car.)
-New strut mounts at all four corners.
-Hawk HPS brake pads all the way around, cleaned, re-greased all caliper pins, fresh Prestone DOT4 brake fluid.
-Replaced RF axle and carrier bearing due to cracked CV boot.
All ball joints and CV boots are in excellent condition. Clutch takeup is smooth. It has normal wear such as small scratches and very small spots of rust on the body that one would expect from an 11 year old car. The interior is in really excellent shape; not quite mint, but very close. The CD player does not read any CD I have tried; apparently this is a common problem on the Bose "premium" sound system. The car comes with only 1 key, the valet key. I bought the car from Nissan of Omaha and learned the car only had the valet key after shaking hands and signing paperwork. I have a spare un-cut key, but never bothered to have it cut or the key programmed. There is a crack in the driver's side headlight...they're not very expensive on Ebay ($40-$50) compared to the later HID versions ($$$) The front bumper alignment is a little off as you can see from the pictures. The car has been very reliable for me. The reason I'm selling it is that I'm looking to buy a Miata (I want a daily driver I can autocross) and only have space for so many cars.
Asking $3,900. Located in Bellevue, NE. Travel arrangements can be made. I am flexible!
Call anytime. I cannot answer my phone while at work so please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
