AAAA....you can't get the stick unless it is a SE. Why is it that people on here still amaze me with how little they know about these cars? First off price is fair and has been almost since the beginning. I have been looking hard core for one of these since Thanksgiving and well am happy to say my plane leaves the 23rd for the 1100 mile trip back. Nice little road test I think. I have been on CL AutoTrader and Cars.com and have seen these priced (not sold) but priced as high as 13K One big problem with ANY value book is they say the car is worth less with a manual trans. BS! Anyone here knows the 6 speed is where it's at all you have to do it see which of these threads is red. That alone says the "book" value is low. If you don't like the price go buy an auto-crap-ic and have at it. Oh ya and don't try to FS it here it will sit. I am going after an 02 not Ti and no HLSD. it has 99K and 100K when I am back home with it. The "book" value for my area is 9200... so people saying high 7's must live in BFE because I wish I could pick these up for that. At the end of the day if you don't like the thread in the first post do us all a favor and zip it and move on. People here value their cars and they are taken care of most times much better than average for that very reason. I knew shortly after I joined that I probably wasn't going to find my next Maxima here for financial reasons but that doesn't mean I have to get all pissy about it. these cars are sexy as hell and I enjoy just looking....

LOLLL !! I knew that 6 spd maxima were only in the SE trim 5 years before I got my Max.
5 posts. cant blame him

On an another note...
absolutely not overpriced, I bought mine at 85k miles(137k km canada odometer) on it, bought it for 10k CDN and yes it's 6 spd TE HLSD.
Rare as rocking horse poo. I read yesterday that only 3-4% of SE trim were stick.
Someone will buy at asking price, stick to it OP.

I am an auto broker.... It's not that you're asking too much... It is simply that it is a buyers market. Your car's value is solely based on what someone would pay. But for the record KBB is a wish list and is generally priced higher than actual value. NADA pricing is based upon what dealerships are asking overall across the united states not what they are actually selling at (the dealer may say $7995 but sell it for $5980) ... If you want a true value you need to look it up in what's referred to ask the manhiem auto auction. That will give you true wholesale value then you multiply that by 28% and you get your retail value. Good luck on the sale though... Hope you get what you want for it!

How many people on here have to tell you that the guy is asking a good price for it? The fact that you are going to **** and moan (practically beg) for it isn't going to help your situation or make him move. Just because you are jealous and can't afford his price doesn't mean you are going to be able to hide that fact by b-itching about it. If he sold it for 7500 to you first I would go slap him in the face then I would go steel the car from you and leave the 7500 at your door and give him back his car. Go find a beat up one with less options for 7500 and leave the org guys alone.

HAHAHA....I just looked more closely you are a "senior" member... I guess maybe a senior citizen thinking about the good old days when you could buy a soda and a candy bar for a nickle and get change back. Maybe that's why you don't want to pay for it. I tell you what how about I give you 1300 for your 90 Maxima... That's all it books for. You going to take it? Fact is his car has to be in just as good a shape (probably better) but ALL the materials are 13 years newer...(less likely to break from age) I would rather have a 03 with 140K on it than a 90 with 10K on it. Any true driver would say the exact same thing

newbie broker... Just so you know if you multiply a value buy 28% it drops... You either need to say multiply by 1.28 OR add 28% of the auction price to the original auction price. Just thought I'd clarify that for people

even the manhiem price can be skewed. Let's say I went to one of those and knew what I was looking for. I'd pay more than a dealer would because I want to keep the car not make money on it. I bid it up and then that gets published next month. Would a "dealer" pay that no freakin way. The true value of something is what someone is willing to pay cash for period. If a seller has it priced too high and in no need to sell he keeps it. Just like my SHO it books for like 1500 MAYBE I know I have 5 K in it. guess what I wouldn't sell it for either of those prices put them together and I might... think about it. Is that too high? Not for me!

This car is worth every penny, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

With all that aside, how about a straight up trade for my GLE?

J/K Good luck with sale.

it may be a good price, and the car is worth every penny.. dont forget that the buyers set the market, not the seller.. you can ask 15k for it, but its true value is its true value.. yes, its a rare car, but for that rare car, you get a reduced # of buyers. nissan didnt make as many 6spd max as autos, not b/c they are dumb, but because they knew they wouldn't sell as many of them. so you have to take a look at many many factors...

Bottom line is that Retail on this car is just over $9k, so 8500-9000 is fair!

no need to bash your fellow ORG members, play nice!

FYI, I sold my 03 Max SE TE, on cloth w/ 88k miles on it for 9500 back in 12/2009. so buyers are out there who want those special edition clean cars.

Good luck w/ the sale bud!
