Any reason that you're unwilling to accept KBB offers on this car ? I'm a little curious as to why you and the other guy selling the TE Maxima are asking way over KBB. I'm interested in both, but not at these prices. Seems like people are giving you very reasonable offers....

You car's KBB is like $7,000 in Good condition.

KBB NADA isnt all people sell thier cars based on. Its a rare car with all options that are hard to find. KBB on this car is 7980 in excellent and 7455 in good condition. I went by the prices seen on here and other forums. Im open to reasonable offfers above 8.5K. Thanx

Yup, believe me, it's tough to sell a car on here. Then when you think someone is serious... they just disappear. Just advertise, be honest, and wait it out. Someone will buy.

I'm looking to get into another 5.5 gen 6speed BUT I gotta get rid of this Subaru I purchased....

It's def a nice car, and I AM interested. I was just honestly asking why these are priced a significant amount above NADA and KBB value. That's all. You have to be honest w/ yourself, and realize that those values are what most people and dealers use to price used cars.

Anyway you can get more pictures my way before I drive out to CT ? I'm in Albany NY. The more I look at this, the more I like the color...very interested. Thanks again.

Bump for an awesome deal on a rare car!

If I didn't have one exactly like it, I'd be on a plane to CT.
Kinda Jealous. I flew to DC last year and bought mine for $10k. I knew it was a little high, but it had 60k miles on it.
Sucky part is NE winters left rust on everything that wasn't painted or undercoated.
Eeegh. Watchagonnado.

Best of luck

Everyone I hope remembers the laws of supply and demand...

KBB and NADA are GUIDES thats all! Dealers use them to their advantage but if they have a "rare" car you bet those books are out the window. Those values are based on general auction prices for the cars and dealers know what they can truly get. Case in point, I have an 01 AE with 73k on it current auction price is $6000 or 6500 (this is the auction estimate for a 01 SE) and that is the offer CarMax gave to me. You can bet they'd sell that for 10k everyday on their lot.

If you shop at carmax be prepared to get ripped off!! When I was searching for my car back in 2007, carmax was wanting anywhere between 9-12k for a high mileage (150-200k)
98-99 car. I bought mine from a person, it had 120k and was only 5500 (reasonable for the area). 2003's are still going for like 9k around here at lots. You can find them lower but that usually means its a trashy car. Your best bet is to check your local CL and used lots and price reasonably compared to them.

He's right its about supply and demand, at least in nyc, I know a lot of people are trying to get 5.5 gens and fix them up so they're selling for a lot more than they're book value would suggest.

Carmax doesn't sell cars with over 120k miles. Your memory is a bit faded I would say. You can always get a car from an individual but can you return the car if you don't like it or have it fixed for free for a month? There is this thing called retail pricing that dealers charge. If you don't like it go roll the dice on craigslist...
