1995 VQ35 Supercharged auto 355hp/331tq $7000 obo
I’m putting this up for sale in 2 locations as I would rather the car leave here in one piece but am willing to part the car out.
Don’t really want to do this, but times have changed and so have my needs in a vehicle, so up for sale is my ’95 GXE with 179k on the body, 14k on the new VQ35. The car currently runs excellent, but doesn’t drive as the auto tranny has given up the ghost. It could drive if you don’t have to go in reverse, and don’t mind the car bogging and starting in 2nd gear, lol. The car as a whole received a body makeover in January of 2010, so it is in fantastic condition externally (minus the carbon fiber hood which looks hideous atm) and has 38% tint. The car does not have AC (core was damaged during motor swap, motor mount was broken and an edge slit the core in several places. However all parts are included to regain AC minus the core). Also have 5-speed swap parts I’ll include as well. I’ve owned the car for over 12 years (got it from my dad at 15 after he had racked on ~75k highway miles on it.)
The “Bad”:
The trans is shot. 65k miles on the current dead one with 30k+ of that being driving boosted tends to catch up to you. I would recommend a Transgo HD kit and a higher stall TQ if you keep the car auto and stay away from the drop resistor. I had mine wired to a WoT switch but its usefulness is ultimately in stop and then go all out usage.
It currently needs some slight fuel tuning (raising base pressure about 5-6psi should cover it) to minimize some of the knock/predetonation I get around 4.5-6krpm. It also seems it needs a new pcv valve as the crank case pressure fumes are coming primarily from my breather on the front valve cover.
The battery may also need to be replaced soon (it’s pushing 10 years old), but that may or may not be due to the amount of down time the car has had since March.
Asking $7000 obo, and I am willing to install a new auto transmission at the buyer’s expense (can source locally for $2-400 depending on mileage). Don’t lowball me, but if you can’t get to that point, feel free to talk to me about it. Considering some trades limited to B5-B6 Audi S4’s plus cash on my end depending on the car.
Below are all the major parts on the car which I may part out if there is enough solid interest:
Parts list for sale – prices do not include shipping unless otherwise noted (many items are very large and bulky):
14k Mile VQ35 with 3.0 timing components (Stephanmax adapters), custom smoothed SSIM, PF TB, and NWP block off plate: $600
2k4 IM with EGR blocked off: $75
V2 supercharger Kit (with fresh seals in the SC'er) includes:
Matty’s V1 bracket and 3.25 pulley, Vortech Maxflo BOV, oil sandwich adapter, 600cc DW injectors, AFPR, VACF-2, Z32 MAF (with pig-tail), Autometer Cobalt electronic fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge, innovate LC-1 with blue DB gauge (gauge pod for steering wheel and pillar included as well). Also included is a large 3” intercooler and 2.5” universal piping. $3200 obo shipped.
OBX V-2 equal length wrapped headers with WB-O2 bung: $350
’95-’96 stock (new) cat: $75
Cattman 3” exhaust (4th gen – first batch) – less than 1k miles on it: $675
SportMaxx/XXR 962 wheels with 235/35/19 BFG KDW2 tires – have some nicks in the paint around the lug holes on the front wheels: $700
D2 Coilovers – not the greatest condition, honestly don’t know the mileage on them and may need to be rebuilt soon: $400 obo
Progress rear sway bar (used less than 1k miles): $75
Corbeau Race seats with dual lock slider brackets: $400 (cost over $1k brand new)
Carbon fiber hood – exterior is horrible, not going to beat around the bush. Needs to have the clear coat stripped and re-applied or can be sanded down and painted: $150
Redline padded armrest and e-brake boot – brand new never installed: $75
David L red-clears – showing their age, but still look nice, $125 obo.
R34 style headlights retrofitted with 2 hella E55 bixenon projectors in each headlight. They are currently incomplete, but for an additional $50, I can finish the shrouds and have them ready to go. Currently I only have 1 set of working balasts, but have 1 set of each of 3k, 6k, and 8k bulbs for the lights. $350
Ionic dynamics fiberglass side skirts and Stillen urethane front lip: $200 obo
Pioneer double din Avic nav unit with ipod adapter and blue tooth: $350
eBay ‘97-’99 exhaust: $75
5-speed swap parts (control rods and brackets, all pedals, Clutch master cyl, shifter/bracket, port boot, ’95 5-spd ECU) – basically just about everything minus a transmission, clutch, and flywheel and maybe electrical parts I overlooked: $350 obo
If you're good with math, you'll see that, in the small number of parts I've listed for sale, they more than cover the asking price of the car.
Believe me, i would love to keep this car, but i need a sporty sedan and 4wd, and I hate to see it go. With a recent promotion, now is the most opportune time I have to move on to something else.
If you have any questions about the car or something you think you see that I might have forgotten to mention, let me know!

Serious, f'in car here. Damn. Quick question, it may be a stupid one, buy would this SC setup essentially bolt right up to my motor? (I have a 5.5 gen just in case my sig doesnt show since I'm posting with my phone)
I can help George with this one. No, it wont bolt up to a 5.5. You have to have the vq30 timing chain cover in order to bolt it on.
There's always somebody... Considering just the parts I listed (at more than reasonable prices) totals over $8000 not including shipping, I think it's more than a fair price. Not to mention I said I was open to negotiations...
That said, I've been doing quite a bit of soul-searching (so-to-speak) about selling/parting-out the car since I posted this thread. I believe that until I get fully "into" my new job for a few months, I don't think I'm going to sell/part the car. I think the promotion clouded my judgement in regards to the financial responsibilities of getting into a newer car. In the long term, it would be cheaper and make more fiscal sense for me to replace a $3-400 transmission (even if it happens every month), than to undertake a newer car with a car payment with the necessary full coverage insurance considering the lack of immediate funds for a substantial down payment.
So thank you all for the interest and support, but I'm going to keep it at least for a few more months. Besides, I never got to take it to a track
Locking just in case things change for whatever reason...
