I was in car business for many years and know everybody by name so I know who pays what and how, but I know exactly what u r talking about, trade in value is the lowest... My dad had a 2 year old Lexus and he was offered 25-27k for it. I got him someone that paid 34. Go to as many places as u can but don't tell them u have a trade until u get a good del on ur new car and then tell them to look at ur trade. Otherwise they will overcharge on ur new car to pay u more on ur trade. It's a tricky business

yes, sold my 02 and picked up a 2012 wrx

Having said all that however I still don't think the car for sale in this thread is a TE. It does not appear to have the special stitching in the steering wheel, Titanium colored dash trim, or Titanium color door handles although it is a little difficult to see the door handles from the pics provided. Probably the easiest way to tell for sure is the door sills although someone could have added those at any time.
