1999 Nissan Maxima GXE Automatic

For sale is my 1999 Nissan Maxima GXE. It has 153,000 miles. It has a 190 hp V6 engine. The engine runs with no problems. It is one of the best engines ever produced as far as reliability. The car has a 4-speed automatic transmission. The hood is missing the rod that holds the hood up, but can be held by a plastic baseball bat, umbrella, or a stick. The car is front-wheel drive. The car also has AM/FM/CD Player made by Bose and a 6-speaker 200 watt audio system also by Bose. It features a sunroof that works perfectly and a built-in garage door opener. You can program up to 3 garages. The seats are cloth and the driver's seat is power-controlled. The passenger seat is not, but can be moved forward or backward and tilted. All of the mirrors in the car are also power-controlled. The side-view mirrors as well. The car's doors can be opened and closed automatically. The front door has to be locked from the inside though. The trunk is power-controlled as well. The car is being sold as-is. The car doesn't have an inspection sticker and hence needs work. I don't currently have the title for the car, but you can still come look at the car. I would send the title to you if you decide to buy the car. Feel free to test-drive the car. The car is still very drive-able. $2000 OBO. You can contact me at 1-646-415-3652. Thank you, Daniel.

For what It's worth, your car looks to be an SE not a GXE as you have advertised. The wheels, speedo cluster and spoiler are all SE items. To find out for sure though DECODE THE VIN PLATE: Raise your hood. Look for a shiny metal identification tag fastened to the passenger side of firewall. The top row is the Vehicle Identification Number, starting with J. The second row is model information. The first five characters are BLHUL. The sixth character is the trim level designator, defined as follows:
E = GXE
G= GLE
V = SE

What's wrong with the car?

Did you figure out if it is the SE model?

Edit: Nevermind, i just looked at the pics again on the computer instead of my phone and you do in fact have the SE model NOT the GXE...what gives it away is Body colored grill, white faced gauges, SE wheels and rear spoiler.

our hoods don't have a rod to hold it up, we have hood struts, two of 'em

The car's doors can be opened and closed automatically
OOH! I like this...how can I open the doors automatically?

I don't currently have the title for the car
Hmm...THIS is probably why you don't have it sold. Most folks wouldn't even look at a car if the current owner doesn't have the title.
