Bought it last year and spent about $1,000 on parts to make it drivable again. Need to sell due to corona crisis making me unable to complete the project (needs new paint, tires, interior revamp). Full car description is here.

https://maxima.org/forums/maximas-sa...html?styleid=9

Asking $3,000. Fyi, last year a mint condition unmodified 3rd gen SE auctioned off for $6,000. Buyer pays shipping (~$800) or may pick up if in or near Jacksonville, FL. Thanks.

Wow, amazing, Matt Blehm's car still going! He was a legend back in the heyday of Maxima enthusiasm in the early to mid-2000s here, and I loved chatting with him online.

Asking for offers isn't allowed per forum rules. Please post a price. You want offers, then feel free to use Ebay or BAT.

And listing what improvements/repairs you did is recommended as stated.

People are weird bud..they could just paint it themselves and put new tires and backseats on it but would rather pay 6k for a mint condition (unmodified) max..smh

Great pictures is what sells a car. Here on the Org, all we have to go on is one picture of the car on a tow truck from last year when you bought it. IMO, you should post up current pictures of the car including the exterior, interior, engine bay and trunk, and undercarriage pictures (if possible). Use a quality camera. The 3 pictures I can find on Autotrader look like they were taken with an ancient cell phone and are extremely low res and poor quality. About 20 high-res pictures should do it. GLWS.

Does this thing still eat oil like crazy? I remember after getting that engine built up, the rings never seated or something goofy. Been so long that I can't remember the exact details but he was having problems with it - pretty sure with the rings.

It's a real shame what being exposed out in the Texas sun will do to cars. Dang.

Its been months since the oil change and i havent seen any oil issues

Looks like ebay takes 10% of auction sell price..i really dont wanna get into a situation where i have to pay the fee and the buyer doesnt come thru like the one on autotrader

This needs to go in the next week or two so i will probably have to junkyard it for $500 unless someone steps up

Oh man, this is sad. In maxima.org's heyday in the early 2000s, I interacted with Matt almost daily, and he was a man of high honour and skill with an awesome sense of humour. So sad to see the car in this state.

Someone might as well just grab the shifter **** and boot, and the gauge bezel.

Any other 3rd gen OGs still active on this site? Can I get a hello from DanNY, Kaleb, Uncle Pete from UK?
