Hi Guys, I have a deep evergreen 1996 Nissan Maxima SE with a 5-speed. It has 229,000 miles and I have owned it since it had 13,000 miles. It drives great, shifts smooth but now it needs a full Evap replacement (vapor canister vent solenoid, vent valve, vapor canister valve, fuel tank pressure sensor, purge solenoid and canister and possibly hoses). In addition, it needs a throttle body thermal switch. Despite this, it still runs very smoothly and I still receive compliments at gas stations from time to time. It also has brand new tires. I'm not a mechanic and these parts plus labor are too much for me to justify and after 26 years owning this car, although it saddens me, I would like to offer to someone here that will treat it right who can fix these things themselves.
