So were to drink on Saturday Night

Is anybody thinking of going out on saturday night? I now it sound like i just turned 21 but I would really enjoy hearing about all the mods and what not people have done to there cars over a few beers with some air conditioning. I live in Texas and trust me in june you will wont to be inside drinking something cold.

I am thinking of setting up something for the 21+ crowd later at night...plenty of places of course.

Speedzone serves beer.

Ya, they do -- but it costs an arm and a leg just like everything else there. That would be awesome though if you could get them to work out a deal for all us Maxima owners wanting to come out that night. I love that place -- if it weren't so expensive I would make a trip there everytime I visit my folks in Dallas.

There are more places to drink in Dallas then I could possibly think of, it all just depends what part of town you want to drink.

You wanna sit at a table drinking beer and listening to people tell you they have a strut bar and clear corners? No thanks. I understand if you just wanna sit down, knock a few back and get to know people, forget talking about mods everyone has.

I agree -- there will be plenty of time to shoot the breeze about our cars at the show on Saturday.

I think all I really want is an excuse to go drinking. So i guess we need to pick a part of town like lower greenville, arlington, deep elum, & ect. I am not really familiar with dallas watering holes so I guess I was hoping you guys would know.

Well, thinking about it, I really like the idea of everyone getting together at SpeedZone Saturday night. Eous, any chance you might call them up and see if they will do a special for a large group or something? I am sure we would have more than enough interest to do this for those that don't plan on getting a dyno.

If not Speedzone, then there is Dave and Busters right across the street or we could go to the West End.

Here is the link for SpeedZone -- if any of you have never heard of it or never been there, it is a blast. The top fuel dragsters are a rush.

http://www.speedzone.com/dallas.html

Flavor - Cabaret Royale is right across the street.

I have the dyno planned for Sat from 6-10pm in Arlington (at Alamo)..

Are you guys suggesting this in addition to Alamo, or instead of Alamo?
I realize not all of you will want to dyno and such, but just trying to figure out if I should even bother with the dyno at all and everyone just go drink on sat night..

Well, you might consider doing a dyno interest thread, because I don't really know how many ppl would be interested in doing a dyno while there -- especially since it is 40 miles away from Town East in Arlington. As Flavor said, I am sure there will be interest in the dyno as well, but with so many people attending Maxus, I can see a couple of different activities being able to happen that night.

I think a group event at Speedzone might be badass since that way the playing field is evened out, lol.

I hope I am not coming across as trying to hijack your schedule, but it's just my relevant point of view, lol. We all appreciate very much all the work you have put into this.

I think the Dyno is still a good idea for those who have never or havent recently done a dyno.
Im sure their will be some still interested.
I dont think its a bad idea to have multiple things going on in the evening for those with different interests though.
I dont think everyone should be obligated to attend every event when they have other interests in mind.
In all, we appreciate everything your doing Matt93SE, and I have no intentions of stepping on your plans and pulling individuals away from them, its just that theirs so much to do in a little amount of time.
I personally, and I speak for myself, would like to just get away for a bit and just hang out with other members Ive never met and just relax and let loose.

I was actually thinking about going to the dyno at alamo and then going out. I dont think I will be all that hot a sweaty after the dyno but if so I live 5-10 minutes away from it so it is not a big deal for me to go and take a shower. I think cabaret is open till like 6 in the morning and there is a buffet around 2:30AM there so we can party all night long. For those who do not know, Texas STOPS serving alcohol after 2:00 AM.

I wasn't trying to sound like you *had* to come to the dyno or anything..
I just haven't heard much input about it either way, so I was more curious to know if people were planning on it.

I've love to do something like Speedzone, but I'm sure there will be lots of poeple ready to just throw a few beers back and forget about cars.. I'll definitely be in that group as well since I spend about 16 hours a day messing with cars, talking about them, or telling people how to fix them... it does get old after a while!

Anyway, finding a place to hang out near the dyno would be a good thing... Speedzone would be fun, but it's 35 min from alamo and 40 from Mesquite area. SZ is at least open till 1am, so people could dyno and then head out to speedzone or the bar or wherever..

I know of a few good places not just Speedzone. I will contact a member of DNE to see if he's able to get some discounts from a friend of his that manages Speedzone in the meantime.

As far as a strip club I know of a few that are pretty good. Cabaret is one of them.

I'm not too fond of drinking and talking cars either...so if anyone wants a strip club I know my fiance and I would be down.

Last call is definitely 2am in the regular clubs...some strip clubs are BYOB (all nude) so you can keep drinking past 2am.

yeah, but the two of those I've been to, you DON'T want to be in there at 3am to see what's working.
Remember seeing the inside of bars in Star Wars? Um yeah.. some of the chicks in the all-nude bars make them look good.

I know what strip clubs to go to and which not to go to. Y'all can trust me on that.

Cabaret is good...The Clubhouse is damn good too.

It doesn't suck for minors. The BYOB strip clubs are 18+. Only thing that sucks about those clubs is the $20+ cover charge.

WTF, is this Office Space? I can hear Lumberg in the background now, "Yaa, I'm going to need you to come in to work on Sunday, yaa."

Hey Eous, any word on SpeedZone or is Sat night just going to have to be a ***** and beer night?
