Last year, I was criticized for trying to manage all the evening activities outside of the event schedule.. this year I stepped back and let everyone do their own thing around the major events, and I get criticized for not doing enough.

And no, i don't know of any/many Austin guys that were there. Last year there were a bunch that showed up. I don't recall seeing any familiar Austin faces this year.
That's cool, it's tough to beat Tex Mex frosty drinks.

Only two Austin boys that I know of showed up. Hell, Matt with the blown 4th gen that one the performance and best of show trophy was from Austin. hehe

Also, there were many events to be had throughout the course of the weekend. MrEous got quite a few people to go up to Duke's which is the BEST patio bar in Dallas by far. Not my favorite place, but it's setup perfectly.

And yes, we have all learned quite well that ms gurlie does not know how to drive appropriately!

Good to see you all, some again! Great to meet alot of you. Wherever next year is, I'm there!!

Errr, uhhh, all of the show results are still packed up in the boxes of stuff I brought home...

The ones I remember right off hand....

Show Category:
1. Tom (Bluesbreaker)
2. Brooke (Maxima Girl)

Performance:
1.
2.
3. Brad92SE

Best of show: Tom (Bluesbreaker)
People's Choice: SlammedMax98 (Matt?)

I'm off to New Orleans for work, but I'll try to have my wife look up the results and send them to me so I can post them all.

hey gurlie, you have to go into your photobucket account and make it "Public" because it's asking for a password. or i guess you could just copy over each link in one post w/o tagging them to show up...

Show and track pics

Enjoy....

Sure was good to see some people from last year and meet some new ones, too. I had a great time and will attend again next year as long as the drive isn't further than the 1100 miles from WI to TX.

My buddy posted a long video of group B here. Keep in mind that it's his video, so you'll be seeing a lot of his supra. It's about 130mb. Go to this link and right click/save on the file. Enjoy!

Did any of the Austin guys go? My opinion is that there wasn't enough planned/organized extra-curicular activities (other than SpeedZone). I think if someone is too broke to go out and have a nice dinner/evening, then they're too broke to pay the gas money/plane trip to go this sort of event. You know you guys are all ballahs on .org
I was the other austin guy, however i left my car at home and just rode with my brother Matt (SlamdMax98). I figured he would show a lot better anyway...

Any chance that Ky got any videos of us in Group A? I'm hoping someone got me going down the front straight 3-wide with Chung and Sam.

Here are my pics I just loaded up on ImageStation. They are of the BBQ/Show and I got a picture of most of the cars there. If anyone wants any fullsized untouched photos of their own cars just email me requesting which ones you want. It was nice meeting everyone.

trophy nissan backed out of sponsoring the show and put matt and a few others through a bunch of to try and keep the show scheduled, so buying the trophies and smashing them and then sending them to trophy nissan was our way of showing them what we thought about them for backing out on us

I'd be interested in your response too, venom. Do you know what gained or lost judging points, who was judging the Show category and how many other shows he's judged?

the judges were volunteer's b/c trophy backed out, yes i was there. I though mr. maxx should have won the daily driver category and maxima girl the show and probly best of show. plain and simple they had bttr cars than the peps who placed in front of them. im not knocking the guys who won by all means congrats but i dont think the best cars won. i think the most fairly judges category was the performance. look at some of the pics u'll see my G35 in the back ground

Latinmax should have won performance hands down, the other catergories are more judge preferences IMO. The same case could be for him winning best of show also considering he had more custon built parts on his car than the rest combined but again its just my opinion. They where all nice cars...

the judges went back and forth for over an hour trying to decide between my car and latinmax's car. the performance category came down to what all you had and how much custom work was done performance wise, not by how clean your engine bay was or the overall appearance of the engine bay.. it was judged on the "goodies" that we had in the car, and like matt said, i won by 2 points bc i had the 00 de-k swap which was a factory part on his car, thats the only difference that made the judges decision

Like I said Gabes car had more custom made performance parts than anyones at the show. Plus he made it all himself except for the custom built tranny and 3" cattman headers...Im not trying to take away from your car because I thought it was very nice but I just didn't agree with the judgements.

BTW do you have a de-k full motor swap? I thought you just put a 00 VI on your car....
