Hotel headcount

I need to know how many people that will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Hoffman Estates. I was only able to work out $84 a night. The hotel is not to far from the usual amenities, such as food, gas, and shopping. I will have you guys do the reservations, to reduce the headaches between all of us. Sharing rooms with others is highly recomended. Here is the address and number to the hotel. I will let you guys know when you guys can start to reserve.

When I just called, they didn't really have this referenced as a block of rooms for Maxus or Maxima.org, so just mention the $84/nightly rate, and you should be good to go. Also, these are standard rooms with a King Size bed with pull out couch or two double beds. All of which are non-smoking.

I am interested in going. Is this the "official" hotel of maxima.org or what? Are there any other options, or other close hotels?

Is six rooms all you got.... or can there be more at that price? I'm still waiting to find out about a Holiday Inn... if I can't get that... I'll get in on this deal.

When I reserved my room, they made no mention of a limit on rooms that they would offer this price on. If you call them up and mention the site and the others that have reserved, more than 6 rooms worth should be available.

I'm just going to point out the obvious, We have about 6 weeks before Maxus 2007 and there doesn't seem to be much interest.

Should I make alternate plans just in case??

I'm a bit concerned as well. It'd be great to spend the weekend in Chicago, but if there's only going to be 10 cars there, I don't really see the point.

I know there wont be just 10 cars, just from the Chicagoland area there will be at least 25+ cars showing up. I'll confirm the exact price tonight for the hotel rooms.

i am doing wat i need to do to get myself ready for this but i honestly think that many people on the org have no idea this is going down and who ever is in charge needs t make an effort to make sure that this is posted in EVERY sub forum here on our forum and other maxima forums such as the nyc one and the ones from canada. just keeping it in this sub forum is going to make this meet kinda small and it would suck to drive from jersey to chi just to see 25 cars.

invite people from 350z boards, others from spec v boards altima etc....we all have or have the ability to run vq's so why not invite them all and have nearly to many people then just a small amount. i think that if you can get closer to 100 people from the chi area to come then you have done a great job advertising this meet.

just so you know i am not tryign to be negative, i just want this to be a success.

I just spread the word. Please people post because without your guys showing interest makes it harder for me how much stuff to order, from packets to food, etc.

Packets, meaning directions to the locations where we are going, information about the area, stuff like that. Food meaning food for the BBQ, don't want to have to much or to little.

I just posted the Maxus info on our local Toronto Maxima forums (www.torontomaxima.com), so hopefully some Canadians will show this year.

Personally, we need to move this forum from a subform of General to a main forum that's actually listed on the front page. If people don't see it, they don't know about it.

Why don't one of you guys email doug and ask him to move it?
