i saw some really nice 95 96 tails today. they were stock coloration just with no colored plastic up top... it's like they were stock setups with the outer plastic removed and crystal red and clear plastic put over top of that. the result - i saw the signals from a mile behind them. fantastic functionality... just until you are at a stoplight behind them for a long time with it blinking in your face. but as long as that's not the case, brilliant. good angular visibility as well.

yes, bright turn signals apparently do get annoying after a while... especially at night

perhaps if they were equipped with a dimmer-timer so that the first 5 flashes were bright and then it got dimmer after that? or at least when the headlights are on for it to do that. or if there is x amount of light sensed inthe rear of the car (meaning a car is tucked up behind you at night at a stoplight with headlights on so like, all the light from their headlights is reaching the sensor, etc etc)

you say "apparently" because yours are bright and you see people squinting in your rearview mirror?

i used to turn on my hazards at night when people started tailgating me and never failed, they back off every time. i've only followed my own car once so i don't really know what the long after affect of my turn signals are when someone's stuck behind me... but some of those headlights are ridiculously bright as well.. **cough cough**

dimmer timer? haha... that'd be kinda cool but dangerous at the same time no?

**i'm putting my maxus pics up this weekend... sorry for the long delay**

well the dimmer wouldn't have to be a big dimming effect.just sort of like dimming to 2/3 brightness (like the brightness of most cars' tail signals)
