We are happy to announce that we've locked in a date, location, and activities for the weekend of June 25-27 2010.

Attendants from all over the North America have made past MAXUS events THE place to be for Maxima enthusiasts, and after 10 years MAXUS is coming to the New York City area in 2010. Whether you just want to put names to faces, enjoy the races, or just relax and have fun, MAXUS 2010 will have it all

The schedule is as follows

Friday:
• Hotel Check-In at Fairfield Inn or Residence Inn – Meadlowlands NJ
• Meet and Greet –Location TBD
Saturday:
• Drag Showdown at Island Dragway, Great Meadows NJ
- We have rented the entire track for MAXUS 2010
- Classes and rules information to be announced
- Trophies will be awarded to all winners
• Dyno Shootout at Island Dragway- Sponsored by HILLS Garage http://www.hillsgarage.net/
- Classes and rules information to be announced
• Car Show at Island Dragway,
- Classes and rules information to be announced

Sunday:
• Scenic Cruise and Group Photo Session in NYC
- Several Routes and more information to be announced
• Main BBQ Maxima Meet, Awards Presentation, and Raffle
- Location to SOON be announced


We are working on, and should have the following set up by Mid March.
• Location/Details of BBQ
• Specific concrete Event Rules, classes and by laws

And Yes i am working VERY hard for an AUTOCROSS EVENT TOO!!!

Also For those that may want to fly in to the biggest maxima event ever, the Newark New Jersey Airport is 15 minutes from the hotel

Maybe we should rename this Maxus 2010 New Jersey!

 

NYC has no tracks so this is the closest one to the city but we will be having things in the city as well. The same thing was done with the hotels and track when the Dallas maxus was done and everything went well. Part of Maxus is the great Caravans to and from places. The hotels put us in the middle of all attractions. We got this Maaan !!!! LOL

 

yea i saw that too but who cares the caravan there and back is gonna b sick as ever... 100+ cars.... lol

I can not wait. I'm debating on if I should just drive down each day or stay in the hotel. (I live about an hour and a half away)

 

Could be a time and budget driven answer? Or consider a lot of what went into Maxus was not only the days events but the people hanging together in the evenings doing other stuff! Badda Bing!!!

This sounds like its going to be an awesome event, especially in NYC! I'm going to try and drive out, although I wont have the max. I would definitely be down for the track and dyno events though!

Brad92SE, what happened to the 3rd gen? I saw your car at Maxus09 and it's by far one of the best 3rd gens I've ever seen.

 

I flipped it back in November I've got plans to swap the engine into my new Z though. Hopefully I can get that done in time, I would love to see what it might be able to do on the dyno and track. I just cant let Maxus go, every time I have gone has been so much fun! Haha

Aside from the Midnight Run, are there any updates on Meet & Greet and BBQ locations? We are officially two months away.

 

We are solidifying a few things in the area so, you will have that info shortly.

 

Is there registration somewhere online or do we just show up in NJ at the meets? Sorry, I haven't gone to MAXUS before.

 

Another question: if there is autox, how many runs do they usually have in the day? Is it unlimited runs?

 

Most events have 4-5 (50-60 second) runs. Any word on the auto-x?
