hey guys, just detailed the car and threw on some 2k2 rims, let me know what you guys think!

wash, clay, meguires three step, and a glaze

I love 4th gens with 5th gen 6spokes

always thought 5th gen rims looked good on 4th gen. now, wheels spacers for the rear!

they are 17x7 i believe

 

The 5th gen 17"s look great on a 4th. Wanted to put some on mine, but got a great deal on some used crome 5 spokes (like 1/4th the price of the max rims) so went with them. Did you lower it? It don't look stock

 

Looks good. Word of caution, the Potenza's are HORRIBLE in wet conditions...just fyi.

 

Rims are a great touch, and I'm in love with the headlights. They definately accent the car color better than the chromies would have. Good decision.

looks great, one critiscism though, i think that side corner looks smoked wayyy too much, kind of throws the clean look of the car off imo

thanks for the warning, ive heard about them haha but they came with the rims, i will be using a 96 i30t auto with falkens for the winter, my new step dad doesnt use it any more, he uses my moms 2k1 i30t now

thanks for the compliment man, i like how my headlights look too, i was very happy with the outcome of them, gotta give mad props to hectorc he is the one that did majority of the work, and pushed me to do it.

If he lowers it a bit more, he'll end up busting an axle.

 

haha yeah seriously, i will prolli end up getting a lip kit later onto simulate it being lower, and finish off the exterior

 

By then you really wouldn't wanna lower it more if you don't want to constantly bang or scrape the lip on the pavement.

 

Smoke out the signals too.

 

Real clean, I would keep the AE headlights, but go back to stock clearance lights.

 

that would would work, or partial ae on the clearance lights..

 

If I could do it over, I would lightly paint the inner housing of the corner lamps because I really don't like how dark the JDM bumper lenses are. I would then take a regular clear bumper lense and lightly paint the inside to match with the corners.

I ended up doing the same:

 

naw i like how it looks, i had looked at many pictures and diff maximas trying to figure out what i wanted, and i love how the all black clearance lights look

 

The only thing different that I did is that I used graphite paint to black-out those lights since I used the same paint when I did the AE mod.

the tires are the craptenzas(stock potenzas) they suck ***... thinking about selling the rims soon... and going with some ssr's or Volks
