Need Help With Decision
alright, so I took a road trip just the other day and the poor max came out dirty as hell.....however......it made me want to paint my mesh grill black! The car is deep evergreen and I like the silver mesh that the previous owner put on, but now I'm thinking it may look better if I painted it black and fitted a nissan hamburger back in the center. I need your help!

Yeah, i think a black grille would look sweet. Dunno if i would put an emblem on there or not can't tell, but its not like it'd be permanant. Not a big fan of those eyelids though, but that's just me! But I like the grilles!

Thanks for the comments guys. I am also not a big fan of the eyelids that will be another thing that will go from the previous owner. A mod that eliminates 30 percent of your lighting makes absolutely no sense to me. I just haven't gotten around to removing them. As for the road trip, I don't know how many miles for sure but I started at 4:30am and got back at 7:30pm and was only out of the car for a total of 2 hours! The crappy part was is it was a loop from my house to denver to northern colorado and back to my house. What a long damn day. nothing like spending 15 hours of quality time with the max!

I know how that goes, i drove back from Cali to South dakota. I had a break at denver though, so it wasn't a straight shot. Did you have any suspension mods to enjoy the windy roads in denver and mountains? That's what made the trip the most fun.

I'm on s-techs but previous owner didn't change the damn struts so that will be my next investment, pretty rough ride but definitely eliminated the body roll. Nothing like cruising a steady 90 over the mountain passes. I'm surpised the general consensus has been black, I think that's what I'll do, probably just a flat black spray paint, shouldn't need anything to fancy.

Black would look much better, might want to think about getting them powdercoated, the paint will last longer. I had the grills on my C-west front end on my civic done and they've held up very nice, much better than painting them. You should be able to get them done for about 10 or 15 bucks.
