New wash and buff pics -> 56K...Eject!

I just buffed with 3M rough and fine grit (with a cutting and a polish pad), and Eagle One polish with a variable speed buffer. I also removed the sunroof guard and applied 35% tint on the side windows (rear to come soon). I am happy, but I would like to wet sand her with 2000 grit and redo the buff process, I think I can get a little more shine out of her.

The paint looks so clean. Were parts of the car repainted, the bumper seems like a darker sterling mist.

They are Cefiros. They aren't supposed to fit right, they aren't meant for the car.

Ok so if something does not belong on your car why would you put it on? because you like the way it looks right? So when you put it on, do you just throw it on there and be done with it? NO you put it on when you ready to do some fabricating, to make it look like it belongs, its possible to make those lights look like they belong! I have seen other org members have those on, with out that nasty gap!

by the way other than that, the car look good, real clean and taken care of, you should fix the lights and drop it

I need some help on the lights (How to fix. The gap drives me INSANE ). I followed the writeup on http://redlinemax.com/3/cefirowriteup.htm. I used weatherstrip too. It WONT go away ! The lamp has a angle to it like an is300. Our fender cutout is oval.
It will get lowered too. I want rims, Eibach prokit, and KYB GR2s, just in Youngstown Ohio; Bad roads, people animals and potholes make me ? if I want to.
Thanks for the compliments!
As for pics closer, I will try to get some for at least the lights, to show you all how bad the gap is.
The tires are Falken Ziex 512 tires, I like them, good looks, price and performance!
The bumper was redone, Apparantly the person before me was a Mongoloid and cared not one bit for the car, and worst off, He was a rep for a pharmacutical company so he drove a lot. You should see my Radiator support!! I also had to have the front window pullled and the upper seam repainted and rust gone, the left front fender and the right door. The roof still looks like hail damage. I am getting there one step at a time. I do not know why the bumper does not match. It is only on certain angles though, and the other parts painted do not do that. Must be too much pearl in touch up mixture.

Hey, How do those Falken Ziex 512s handle? I was looking at those tires for my new 17" wheels I am getting. If you remember I am looking for a performane tire. What size tire would be best for a 17" wheel?

I would post some pictures in here but I dont have any new ones right now. I am going to go take some tomorrow so I will post a few tomorrow.

they have to weld metal to fill it in. I rather use weatherstripping than to have to repaint both my fenders

The tires handle exceptionally well, all I have else for suspension is urethane sway bar bushings, and I can attack a corner very well.
I tried for about 3 hours to fix it (the gap) the best I can, but I "just had to have" the one pice Cefiros and not the simple, meant for maxima, 2 piece ones.
I will try to get close up pics, but I have limited access to a digital camera and the internet (just at work).

Looks nice man, the debadging of the "M A X I M A" really throws the rear end off though IMO

Here is a coser pic of the GAP I cannot fix!

And here is something I was toying with (the red in the 'bun' of the logo.) As for the gaps in the grill, it is something else you are stuck with in the conversion. Since the headlight brackets are also removed from the car, the grill has nothing to mount to. I am currently making some brackets in my spare time, but the last 3 designs were not that much better then the credited 'ziptie' technique mentioned in the instructions. I will soon have some sort of bracket to make the grill fit like its suppose to (and pics). Just 3 jobs and school give limited time.

As for the M A X I M A logo on the trunk, I had to remove it because of pits in the chrome (bad). I was going to replace it, but I do not have the steadiness to line up the emblem, and also you have emblem glue that will spread upon applying pressure to the emblem. So I was 50/50 on replacing the emblem, but those were the deciding factors.

I was curious on going clear on the corners, but I still have amber turn signals in the rear, so I like the match up. Plus it adds a little color to the car. I don't know, I'm just weird. Everybody seems to have the clears and do not mistake me, they do look nice, but I mainly stayed with the amber tails and fronts to have a little variety. I could not however leave them alone; so like the taillights, I outlined them in gloss black to 'clean' them up a little.
As for the licence plate, I cannot remove it. In Ohio, we HAVE to have a front licence plate, or we WILL get a ticket; or pulled for it, and a ticket for anything else of equal or greater value. We also are not allowed to have any darker than 45% tint on windows (even though I and other .org member do). If you already know, the car from the factory has some tinting to it (because of the air conditioning) so that makes ANY aftermarket tint too dark.
side note: as for the emblem in the grill...I will be painting the 'Nissan' gloss black to even out the volume of color with the red I painted in the 'bun' of the logo.

You can get amber turn signals up front too... It's cool if you just want to be different. To each his own right? But your car would look real nice with the clears. You should test them and if you really dont like them, just sell them off. I need a new pair anyways so I'd buy them from ya if you didnt want them anymore.

I was actually considering clears for only the turn signal (closer one to front) and leaving the side marker amber (one closer to the tire of the 2 bumper lenses) I haven't seen it done yet, just I really do not have the money to try at the moment. So once I have some spare cash, I may try. Unless someone for some very strange reason wants to sell only the inner, or turn signal lense of the bumper lenses for cheap. Either that or if someone is selling a used, nicer set for cheap.

"I need a new pair anyways so I'd buy them from ya if you didnt want them anymore."
I will definately consider your offer, That was one of my concerns -> if I bought a set, I would be stuck if I did not like the look. I will keep that in mind.

The gap is not that obvious although it would probably bother me too if it is my car.

While your at it, why did you stop short of debadging the Nissan burger logo in the rear? It just looks half way done to me. Also, I would peel off whatever it is under the right tail light (sticker?).

Your car is probably comparable to how it was off the dealer lot. Clean.
