Lightbulb Introducing my I35! (NSF 56K)

I'm a n00b here, and just reached the level where I can start a thread, so I thought I'd introduce my car first! I am the proud owner of a 2004 Infiniti I35, finished in Midnight Blue with the tan interior.

Vitals:
VQ35DE, 4-speed auto
All options except heated seats
Dealer installed wheel locks, Llumar tint, painted pinstripe

Anyway, I have finally learned (and somewhat mastered) the art of machine buffing. So, I decided to put my new found skills to the test and attempt to machine buff the car for the first time. While I'm sure I still have much to learn, I think it turned out very well.

Process/Materials used:

1. Debug front of car (Castle brand "Truck/Bug Wash" and a bug pad)
2. Hand wash (Two wash mitts, loads of soap)
3. Clean rims (soap and tire brush on front, wheel acid and stiff brush on backside of rims)
3. Clay (Griot's Garage yellow clay, "wonderbar" purple clay for tough spots)
4. Chamois and air purge water away
5. Buff entire car with 3M Perfect It II Rubbing Compound (Makita buffer)
6. Buff entire car with 3M Perfect It II Swirl Mark Remover (Makita buffer)
7. Apply 2 coats of Meguiar's Polymer Paint Sealant (Cyclo Dual Head buffer)
8. Shine tires (Black Magic Tire Wet Gel, Eagle One tire swipes)

Thanks y'all!

This car has seen a lot of cross country driving over its lifetime, so there are unfortunately some rock chips here and there. Fortunately, I work at a auto detail shop, and we have a hi-grade paint chip repair system that works 10 times better than the useless factory touch-up bottle crud. So, I'll be getting those spots filled and polished soon.

One funny note: Whenever I go to the Infiniti dealer, the service manager can always pick my car out of the masses. I asked him why, and he said because I have the sexiest I35 he has ever seen. I thought to myself, 'well, that's great and all, but why does this love for my car not translate into faster service?'

Looks like a great platform to launch from in terms of modding. Great color. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the car.
