sexima transformation (first ruby pearl 97 rear?)

okay, so to bring everyone up to date, i was in an accident (with a wooden fence) and i had to pay to have my quarter panel replaced. (Btw alot of you orgers said it'd cost me 3k and it cost me half that). ANYWAY, i had that replaced back in the summer and planned to do the 97 rear conversion since my RARE freaking RED/CLEAR outter was destroyed and i wasnt about to go back to the ugly stock 95 rear tails. The problem is, i didnt have a trunk...and refusing to pay 175+ for one at the local junkyards i just waited to find a better deal. So i have been driving around with fawking tape covered spoiler holes and 95 inners with 97 outters for at least 4 months. anyways, enough of my fairy tale here's some pictures of my car's transformation the past couple days.
the jdm "sexima"/ "srt-4" trunk was a joke i put on there for sh*ts and giggles.

alright thats all.
btw no spoiler ftw.
this trunk cost me 250 total (100 for paint)
i gave in and just spent the money, the outcome is beautiful though. yall have no idea how many places i've gone telling people "yeah i just need to get this trunk" it get sso ****in old after awhile i began to wonder if i ever actually would. now i can finally get back to taking my car more serious...i dont drive a beater.
and btw i messed up the pass. side inner tail when modifying my replacement is on the way.
thanks for looking!

yes i did the DTM mod on vqpower.com (dallas texas maxima enthusiast something mod) just painted the housing black.
i never thought i'd convert to 97 rear since i had those rare red/clears but i've never loved my maxima's look so much! it looks so classy and sleek now.
thanks!

thanks everyone for the comments.
when i bought this car the first thing i thought is "i hate that color" but it has really grown on me, and now i dont think i'd change it unless i was getting a KILLER deal on a quality paint job. The fresh paint on the quarter panel, rear bumper and now the trunk feels so damn good. They clean so easily and shine so good when i just give the car a simple wash. I still need a new front bumper and driver side door, i might just get every removeable panel repainted one piece at a time hahaha.
i used to have 95/96 pride and im trying to keep it with my front bumper but i might get sucked in to a dang 97-99 bumper cover too since my current one is hacked and well...thats another story.

Haha finally no damn faded markings on the paint wher you can see emblems used to be.
The srt-4 thing had my friends srt-4 group laughing...time to make people take the maxima serious though. I need the respekk.

Death to all 95-96 defectors!

Actually it looks pretty good. I don't think the rear or front conversion is for me, but it looks good on your ride.

I'll sleep easier knowing that you aren't actually rolling the streets of Houston with that SRT-4 badge on your Nissan. That would go far beyond what the term "rice" could convey.

Haha trust me man, I know, it was just for fun. Although it did serve as motivation to get the new trunk.
I wonder how many people actually saw "sexima" on the road.

The srt-4 came off my friends neon, It wasn't meant to be permanent, I was just teasing her.
Sexima was something me and my 5th gen buddy came up with while debadging his car, and I figured before I got rid of the trunk forever I'd go ahead and throw the sexima up there and the spoiler back on for old times sake. I never hated the spoiler look more than when I put it back on the other day.

Tatanko- yeah man, I've been spendin some money but I gotta keep myself happy, ya hurd? Probably gonna be on appearance for another couple hundred dollars and then back to performance..it al depends on what kind of deals I find I guess.

very nice. i have the same color as you and hate the fact that we 95-96 people get the shaft on red/clears. The ones for the 97-99 that ive seen all look quality but the custom maxima ones just dont look good to me.
