These are pics of my 88 maxima. I loved this car. It was my first car and I owned it for 7 years before I sold it last year in September. 3 weeks after I sold it to this guy, his 16 year old son wrecked it. So here is a tribute to my old girl.

-Maxima.org Stickers on each side of the C-pillar windows

-Pioneer DEH-P6400 Head unit
-Pioneer Premier 6 disc Cd changer
-Pioneer 6 1/2 speakers in front and back
-Kenwood 300 watt Amp

Wow, she was very nice! Very clean, love the rims! I know exactly how you feel. My first was a 1989 silver SE, that was 5 years ago, I fell in love with Maximas because of that car. Now I own a 1998 SE that is identical version of my '89. Its my 3rd Maxima. Rust took the first two, My '89 and my 1991 I had afterwards, both around 240,000 miles!

Anyways, thats a beautiful car you had!

 

Custom Made LED BAR 3rd brake light. I had to fabricate this setup on my own. I was quite proud of finally having a 3rd brake light again.

looks good Q, I really want to get another second gen, but its so hard to find them in good shape any more.

 

That $ucks about what happened to it. I'm glad I got the chance to see it at last year's Maxus.

 

Yeah, Ive been seeing some driving around here and have been wanting to get another one too but they are all beat up. I really think I had the cleanest 2nd gen where I live. Thanks Bluesbrekr, Im about to get my dads 91 S10 so hopefully that will be my new old school project.

 

Clean 2nd gen, sorry to hear about that--that situation would have me pretty bummed.

If you really wanted to get retro and not just nostalgic though, you could get a 1st gen...

 

What did you pull the cup holder out of? I need one for my 85
