My daily driver
Well the other day I had a slight run in with some gravel and a pot hole at about 1 am. Heres the damage.

So after that happened a beat me had to ride home from the next town over with one gear. (Thank god I can highway speeds in first.)
The next day I was a little sore but not rashed up thanks to leathers and always wearing my helmet
I got to work and repaired my plastics. Repainted the bike black.

I then came to the realization that It might be a good idea to stand out a bit more especially at night since I work 2nd at my regular job.
So I did a paint scheme that stands out a bit more.

I think that will help vehicles spot me a little better I have way too many close calls in traffic with idiots not checking to change lanes and cutting me off.
Well opinions on how it turned out?

Its a ZX6 I think Im going to put a steering dampner on it soon. Heres a pic of my gloves after the wreck they were brand new this season.

And my jacket is pretty rashed up. But the only thing I injured was my shoulder hurt for about 2 days and my palms were bruised a bit.

Yeah I always wear my helmet and tonight I was reminded why.....
Well I went down town cruising around and met up with a bunch of other local sport bike riders. Went on a sprint run with a couple of them on some clovers that was fun.
Then we met up with a bunch more bikes to go on a longer cruise. Well we went on a cruise stopped to wait for one guy then headed back out. About 4 miles later I was the 3rd bike in the batch and was coming across a sharp curve then I see lights fly. So I slow way down come up on the curve and both bikes in front of me are in the ditch. None of them where wearing helmets and only one had leathers on.
The guy with leathers is an experieced rider and his bike took the punishment instead of him as he bailed when it went down. The damage to his bike is pretty considerable the rear subframe snapped off the end and cracked around the mid section. and his plastics are pretty well toast. But he is only with a sore shoulder and calf muscle.
The other bike was a newer rider with a girl on the back. HIs bike laid down and got mostly pavement instead of weeds and bushs. The girls face smacked the pavement (without helmet) and was of course fairly messed up. (lying in the ditch unresponsive) with a tore up face and I believe she also has a broken arm. The guy got rashed up pretty good all over his arms and legs. And was walking with a pretty decent limp.
Anyway I put my hazards on killed my bike ran into the ditch to see if everyone was ok. THe one guy was fine just pissed that hey wrecked his bike.
The other guy was in pain and was making sure the girl wouldn't move. We called 911 and two cops showed up right away and really helped out with the girl and the guys road rash. about 25-30 minutes later the ambulance came. and loaded the girl up.
Well needless to say everyone went pretty slow on the way back to town.
And I will for sure always keep my helmet and leathers on.

crazy man, and way to be safe. feel bad for the dumb girl getting her face crushed but IMO your a complete dumbshi't if you ride motorcycles w/o helmets. i dont ride but my father does and he used to race moto-cross back when they were using heavy a'ss bikes and he always wore one. still does and makes sure to remind me if i ever ride.
glad it wasnt you man
