My maxima story

Alright Iam kinda bored, so I thought I would share my maxima story w/ anyone who is interested. It all started when i was 18. My first car sucked, or at least i thought it did so i sold it(1995 toyota camry.) My parents owned a 96 maxima Se. I wanted it, it was nice and black. They eventually sold it to me in Feb of 2005.

I got the car w/ 112k on it, my dad purchased it from an auto auction w/
106k a year previous.

I reded out the amber. I was young and nieve.

Took a while but i bought clear bumper lights, the car was insanly stock. I also took off the rear emblems. Never bought it that passenger side fog light though

Oh and i got ebay hids, always had them on highbeams, noone every noticed, not even the police(very weak).

These are all pics after a trip to maaco. My dad bought the car w/ paint fading, had some bum paint it. Long story short I drove it w/out paint for about half a year. Overall i had this car for a year and a half, and drove it 10k. The family then took it over and drove it another year and put another 10 k on it.

My brother later sold it to a wh*** and i really want her back. The reason i gave her up was because it was an auto and i thought it was time i learn to drive 5-speeds. I did and then began a journey for a 4th gen 5-speed maxima. This journey took 6 months.

Thats a 97 max my dad bought, so close but so auto....i had to pass, sadly. Its a beautiful color(and leather!).

HaD to find a reasonable car at a reasonable price roughly $1,500-$2,500 depending on year, cleanliness, milage. I tell you I became a expert on 4th gen maxima's in the Denver Metro area. Well about 8 5-speeds, and 1 5thgen 5-speed later i cought a break.

I found the car and fell in love w/ it, despite some cosmetic issues and wierdo brakes, I immidiatly loved it. Pretty much bought it the next week.

126k and fender and rear door damage, nevertheless the next week it ran early(no one around) and the auctioneer loves me. I bought the car for $2000.

Yes the Se-l emblems where on the car when i purchased it. I have taken them off since.

lol i laughed when i saw them!

Very happy with my purchase. I love the 4th gen max's, especially 95-96. I am very proud to own a maxima as well as be a part of this community. I will be sure to update w/ modifications.

Looks good man good luck with the sleeper look. I love sleepers too.
