HDR Attempt

So I just got Photoshop CS3 working and decided to try my hand at an HDR picture. I started with the one picture from my point and shoot camera then split it into 3 different exposures and used the Merge to HDR function. I know it's not great but anyone that is experienced with it could give me pointers that'd be awesome.

Thanks!

I used adjusted the one picture into 3 exposures in Photoshop. And I'm going to start working on another one soon, a daytime one that doesnt have flash.

That doesn't come out well. You have to take 3 via tripod.

Alright, I'll look into this camera and try to find a way to do it.

In the meantime here's another I tried:

it looks cool but is waaay grainy because you artificially extended the exposure.

use a tripod, 3 exposures and the lowest ISO setting your camera will allow.

also definitely do NOT use flash.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm planning on keeping on working on these pictures as they are now, but hopefully I'll be getting a good camera set up soon.

It's not the camera at all. I use a crappy Kodak 5.0 megapixel camera and I can get them to come out okay. Like the others have said, use a tripod and take 3 differently exposed pics, I think you'll be happier with the outcome. Keep it up!

They are extremely close. The 97 used to be my dad's but he "gave" it to me and got the TSX. Although he admitted he couldn't truly let go so he tried to make the TSX match up with the maxima. So it's got the trunk spoiler, same color, just about equal performance, tan interior, manual, etc.
