Sick. RT615s, G35 brembos, VQ35... now you just need some real wheels.

I'd also have to say that the hood pins are a bit unnecessary, and I hope you have some good HID projectors in those housings...

What would you suggest? 5 piece forged composite?

The rims are incredibly light for their size, even with the tire, they weigh pretty close to the stock wheels/tires. If I had my choice, the wheels would be stock, but I couldn't clear the brakes.

Hood pins aren't unnecessary, if you look closely, I have no radiator support due to a really large chunk of aluminum sitting in the engine bay.

thanks for the comments, guys.

What size, and how light? I haven't seen them before and just assumed they were an SSR type-C lookalike.

prolly are lookalikes for something. Raze R74. I think I saw somewhere 19lbs or so, have no idea if that is correct. Either way, I was really fooled when I picked up the box, same with the guy who ordered them for me, we didn't expect them to be so light.

Really nice work man.

Have you calculated the new front/back weight distribution with that big old engine up front?

here's a vid of the exhaust, I need to figure out a good way to mount a camera in my car so I can do a driving vid.

Crazy, sounds like you've got an EJ20 under there--never heard a VQ sound quite like that.

If you don't want to spring for a suction cup mount (like $50), you can jam the camera between the passenger's seat and the headrest.

i've done that before.. when i had my 88 civic, i jammed the camera under the right-side backseat headrest and layed the front passenger seat all the way down... i got a killer view of the dash, winshield and also of me sitting in the drivers seat.. u should try that.

Hehe, yea, I need to fix the shifter trim. The stock trim won't clear all the mechanics, I'll have to make something custom.

1/4. I think I'm gonna grab some spark plugs and I may go to the track tomorrow, If I get a chance. I think I need new plugs, now, it was running so rich before. Still needs a dyno tune. I wouldn't expect any great 1/4 numbers until I get the thing on a dyno and fix the fuel and timing maps. I also need to check out to make sure the VTC is working like it should.

I can't wait for dyno and 1/4 mile times. This thing is amazing, I'm glad to see the project came together well since you made that thread a while ago.

Um, so yea. I have some good news, some bad news, and then some good news.

First the good stuff. Had the car 2.5-3 weeks running and tuned. When it was tuned, I was told the car is very fast and will be faster with a better tune. The car sounds pretty badass, It's easily in the 13s, makes every passenger **** a brick, even with multiple passengers in the car. I lose a little traction shifting to 2nd and 1st is insane. The plugs just got their first changing tonite.

Now the bad news. 5 plugs show normal wear. 1 plug came out shiny and new. After some testing, I'm getting spark in all 6 cylinders, however injector 6 is not pulsing whatsoever. I've traced this all the way back to the ECU. The AEM is not giving me a 6th injector pulse, I've been running 5 cylinders from the very start with just air and spark in cylinder #6.

The good news, once I sort this out, I anticipate the car is going to be ungodly fast.

Well, that would certainly explain the exhaust note. Expect the exhaust to sound significantly "smoother" with less of a lope when you're getting full injector signal... and obviously, it will be significantly quicker (you should probably be able to chirp third and first will be useless).

Exhaust specs:
ebay headers, had to make a custom y pipe for my car, Magnaflow 6" round muffler (3" in/out) 30" in length. 3" side exit.

Last thing to get that perfect tone, run on 5 cylinders

I'll get a sound clip when I figure out what's wrong with the ECU.
