looks good..

the rims you are going to put.. if it is what it looks like on the pic, you will rub ...
the rims will be too wide ( even though with good offset).. it will either rub on the inside or against the top of the wheel well if lowered to VIP style ..
but none the less, I wanna see the finished product

No, I don't think they'll rub....I mean this is just a model mock-up drawing of what the finished product "may" look like...

besides, considering the rest of the custom body work he plans on doing I don't think it will be much of a problem to pull/roll up the fenders, hell, mabe even cut and paste some sheet metal in the wheel wells and make a custom widebody look to it...you'd be surprised....

BTW, I'd get air ride instead of coilovers...

digitized - the wheels would rub if it was that low. i will be running stretched tires and rolled fenders with the suspension set all the way to firm to get it as low as possible without the fender hitting the lip of the wheel over bumps. no negative camber ftl.

99blackmaxse - i considered doing some flares/widebody but i'm just not feeling it on fwd. i will be using air over coilovers with smaller wheels eventually, so i can get lower.

everybody else - thanks for your opinions!

Can't wait to see the final product. Actually considered these wheels myself but didn't think they'd clear a BBK. I wonder how stretched tires look on a Maxima hardly anyone does that.

the front will look a little stretched but the backs won't be stretched at all. the photoshop looks good except for the shaved inner tails.

Again, would not have shaved the inside tails but it looks pretty sick nonetheless. You going with LED tails too I take it?

I think that you need some kind of signal indicator located infront of the idiot bar. Sprayed with some nightshade so it doesn't stick out.
Are you planning on removing the vinyl tape that is between the pillars and the windows?
The side you are showing looks like it has the gas door/cap shaved. I'm sure that your planning on shaving the other side right?

Maybe a light coating of nightshade on the tails or....
you could maybe get a set made that are like the 95/6 red/clear crystal set but made for a 97-99. That just came to me feel free to use the idea.

Is that a chrome strip or just lighting effects? that might look cool if it was chrome, but I'm not sure how you would intergrate that. Also, what are you going to do about trunk spoiler? Maybe a lip spoiler? I assume that the bar on the rear window is a roof wing spoiler?
Other than that you car is HAWT IMHO.

i dont think anything is going to get sprayed with rattle can anything.

which reminds me. blackonblack, I was talking to the shop who repaired and painted the rear end on my maxima. the guy said they tinted a corvette owners tail lights by putting a few drops of black paint in some clear coat..just an idea if you want to get something professionally tinted and the shop doesnt already know that

our bumpers ( max ) don't wrap around like the i30.. I wanted to swap bumpers with the i30 as well to get the chrome trim around the car, but don;t got the cash to make em fit but props to ya if you are going to do it...

ps... looks better with the inner tails...

you just moved up a few steps in my book especially since you aren't becoming a stereotypical .org member. you still going with the staggered fitment on the SSRs?

i have. the conversion really isn't that involved, and i've had most of the parts for a while now. out of the parts i don't have, about 50% of them would need to be replaced anyway.

becoming? i've been here since the good ol' days when people weren't scared to spend money on their 4th gens. hence the parts i sell and buy. all top-notch. the ssr will not be staggered. 8.5 +30mm all the way around, spacer in the rear.

Idiot bar is the door guard that is supposed to protect your car from idiots opening their door onto yours.

With the chrome trim and the chrome wheel lip, I would also look at the cefiro full door handles. Have you thought of that?

The bmw roof antenna (shark fin) is a good touch! +1
Nicely done.
