Another one bites the dust....
Well guys, as you know I totaled my Maxima several weeks back. Gawd I miss that damn car. After all the upgrades, CAI, Magnaflows, Cattman Y-PIPE, Koni & KYB's, Eibach's etc... she was lookin' good, sounding good and DAMN sure running good. Well, I decided to cross over to the dark side. Here's my new ride. Please don't flame me too hard guys. And if it makes any difference, the bimmerforums are pretty boring compared to hanging out in here. I damn sure miss it. (except for you whinny *****es that won't pony up for some CF hood lovin')

The Maxima was MUCH faster than this car. This is peppy, but not much more. Handles like a DREAM though and rides very nice. It's a 2002 525i with 80 on it. Picked it up 2 weeks ago for 16k. Drives and looks great IMHO. Just put new M5 wheels and tires on it and few more M parts coming in for it soon. Sorry guys, I am trying to salvage a few parts from the Mizzy but the KYB's were toast and I don't think I'll be able to get the KONI's off. I'll have to snap some interior pics soon.
LOL sucks as I saw a bunch of ricers on the highway I woulda loved to have smoked today, sniff.....but no mizzy.

Dang mack, your maxima got totaled? Sad to hear, I always thought you were one of the nicest looking 6th gens. You had alot of upgrades this year and represented the maxima to the fullest. Hope you enjoy the beamer and in the future come back to Nissan hehe.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the props. And yeah, it would damn near take a miracle to make this thing as fast as my Maxima was LOL! But again, it's a sharp ride, good on gas and hey, the chicks dig it so it's all good. Thanks 99max. I appreciate that. There is no doubt that 5th and 6th gen max's are one of the best cars on the roads today, and yes, I wouldn't be surprised if I got another one at some point. Here are a few snaps I got today after I took her in for a detail and I just upgraded the Angel Eyes myself to LED bright white. Thank goodness for eBay!!
And yeah, I'll still come around every so often to see what you crazy kids are doing with the 6th gens these days.

I drove a 2004 525d when I went back home. The diesel is the moto of choice in poland. I was plesantly suprised. The damn thing missions. It was only a 2.5L 5 cylinder tdi but it went. It had full power from 1200rpms all the way to 5000.
And it handled like a dream.
Good choice Mack all the best in the new ride.

Good choice Mack. Very nice ride. I am sure it won't be long before you go into your modding mode. Great choice on the rims, changed the car completely. VERY NICE!
Like somebody said, debadge it.

6800$?? what you dont do any work yourself? You could get a 6.0 Ls1 based truck pullout with auto tranny for a couple grand. The only real issue would be wiring everything else could be done yourself. The only parts to fabricate would be a custom driveshaft, and custom motor mounts/ tranny mount.
I am building my whole ls1 project car for less than 6800$

I made a thread about it a while back
Its been 6 months and I havent done anything since
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hlight=LS1+rx7
Btw it looks like you could get the V8 from the 540 on ebay and swap that in there. It would prob be easier than the Ls1. Either way its a nice lookin car. My buddy in college had one and although they arent straight line monsters they are very nice.
