got some better pics yesterday:

non radiused side at full low (ride hieght).

gonna bring the front down about an inch to even it out.

hybrid bbk.

raidused side at full low.

hard to get pics of this side since theres a wall there.

i'll get those pics of the air/coilover setup when i'm settin up the final suspension.

I think Matt already has brackets for that fitment?
http://www.mattblehm.com/brakes.htm

The ones that fit the 300zx calipers should work for the J30s

They've been sitting around at least 6 weeks... and it's not like you're driving the car anyway.

How much does radiusing the fenders cost and how exactly do they do it?

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. I think the red dash with black trim looks great. Are you going to keep the climate and radio black?

sorry i missed this post.

i can't tell you exactly how much it would cost since what i payed was a complete package price (i.e. do whatever) from a long time friend. i would expect it to easily run over $1k since there would be painting involved.

theres no right way to radius but for our apllication its pretty simple. basically the lip is trimmed and the outer skin is seperated from the inner. then the inner is cut back and the outer is pie cut and folded over. everything is welded back together, body worked, and repainted.

i dont see a reason for anyone to do it unless you are EXTREMELY dropped and run flush wheels. other than that it would just be more wheel gap. so add in the cost to get that low and you're way up there (more than the car is worth).

as for the interior, the trim will be water transfer printed (cf most likely, although i go back and forth between cf, grey burl, and blackwood).

i have some on the camera (out of town) that i need to pull. i'll get some updates up in the next week or so. i've mostly been stock piling parts but theres a few new things going on. the wheels and tires will go on soon and i've been cutting away at the unibody to get it lower (i'm probably ~1" into the front frame rails now, i'm laying on the oem resonator).

A bit of constructive criticism. I don't like those new rims you chose, I think the old rims in the original picture looked MUCH better. Just my .02.

duely noted, however the wheels i bought go more with the style of build than the first ones. on top of that they are constructed better (3pc. forged vs. 1pc. cast) and much more baller (msrp $5k+ vs. ~$1k).

it'd be sick to see some scara's on a maxima.

The price difference doesn't make it look better.

i guess your bimmer proves that.

like i said, they fit the style of my build and i have liked these wheels about as long as i owned this car. but i'll be completely honest, one of the 2 reasons i was unhappy with the original wheels is that they weren't high end enough (the other being a minor detail in the design i just couldn't quite swallow). i know it doesn't mean much over here on the .org, but in the scene i'm in status counts.

so no, it doesn't change how the wheel looks but it does effect how the car is perceived.

just noticed i never added the new wheel pics to this thread. just in case anybody was wondering:

old wheels

new wheels

theres a good chance i'll switch wheels 1 more time for the simple fact that i hate spacers and i ran into some clearance issues as i got lower, but for know the lowenharts are here to stay.

Ballin' is right...boat-anchor-lead-weight-cannon-ballin'! I realize you don't care since performance is not your goal in this build, and you will definitely stand out with those rims.

I take back what I said then, I thought you were using the rims you had posted in this picture.

I like the ones in the box much better, I was scratching my head trying to figure out why he would use those chromes on this all out build.

minor update. still didn't get the pics off the good cam so heres some cell phone pics.

rail notch/tub. apparently welding isn't like riding a bike. gotta refresh my skills. still under construction...

front wheel fitment w/ old fender. everything will be redone so these pics are kinda pointless.

heres the jic/uas setup. keep in mind this is set rediculously low. when set at a decent hieght (ewww) the spring perch/top hat fit snug against the bag. i just didn't feel like adjusting it for the pics.

and for those who care, pics when it came out of storage:
