Blacked out interior??

So i was looking at my 2k3 maxima and decided i wanted to take the gray carpeting outta the car and replacing it with some black carpeting...
The headliner, visors, and floor is what i was planning on doing.
i have a majestic blue maxima and a black interior.

does anybody have this done already and have pics??

Didn't do the carpet itself, but did do the floormats.

The contrast looks phenomenal.

Might want to try that before spending too much time or money on a carpet swap.

that looks pretty cool
yeah i have black mats already but cost isnt an issue...
all i would have to do is pay for materials and buy lunch for my boys...

Full project: headliner, floor, Sun visors, and maybe the little part on the doors if i dont decide to get leather heated seats.

Ebay. Just find one of the vendors that make custom shaped mats where you can pick whatever color you want, and select black. They pretty much have all the templates and use a cookie-cutter strategy.

I've always wanted to do the headliner, visors and carpet in black....I think it would look sick blacked out, especially o a kh3 max....just never got around to it... It would be so easy to swap carpet...I mean it'd be 8 bolts for front seats and pulling the bottom out of the back and just pulling that **** out...new caRPET IN AND YOU'Re DONE!

Visors would be a ROYAL pain to do. I can't imagine how they'd look right unless you were good at sewing.

Can't you spray the carpet, headliner, & visors to get a different color ?? I'd try that before i buy all new stuff IMO since your going to replace then anyways.

All he would have to do is buy new sun visors in black. (If they came black for 5th gens.)

They don't, grey only.

You could get spray dye for carpet. Many people have tried it with successful results however I have not ever tried it so I cannot offer my opinion. I'd say it's worth a shot...

Well if money isn't an issue for him, he can have someone make them black. The carpet and headliner would be the easiest to do, since you can buy aftermarket made carpets and headliner in black. He will just have to dish out more for the visors.

sun visors are going to be the big pain but since i got some professional installers on my side it should be fun and fairly easy. The spray dye is a thought and would made everything so much easier... but the easy way out isnt always the best way out. i want the visors to be suede like the headliner and rear deck are going to be. it would look way better that way in my eyes... however they do make black sunvisors for the 6th gens if im not mistaken...

its no where near that easy. to take the stock carpet out without cutting it i had to remove the whole dash/center console and disconnect the e-brake.

exactly what i wanted to do, except the rear deck was going to be black oem type carpet. actually i'm still going to do it, except everything in red.

i was looking at what i would need to take out... and this will be EASIER if there were about 3 sets of hands doing something.
and im gunna be the 4th set so it should be a cool project. i think at the same time that i do this im gunna be the one sanding some pieces down and painting them so it can match the carpeting. another does the sound deadening and 2 people on upholstery.

i'll probably make a video or atleast take pics
