You need to upload your images before putting the [.img] tags around them. A good free place to upload is http://www.photobucket.com. Just make an account and everything else is pretty self explanitory.

Definitely an improvement.
And I agree about the money. Bills do get in the way, but save up and plan out what you spend your money on. That's quite a good start for a year ownership.
