Phatboislim's Progress Thread
just in case you missed it.... i put it in RED..
so i got my 6th gen BBK's installed this weekend (going to rebleed the entire system this week, probably today), test fitted my 19s before i got rid of it, and ended up chewing up some tires
i'm glad they are still rideable, bought my side skirts finally and my FSTB came in, now i'm trying to figure if i want a rear lip and roof spoiler...two crucial decisions that could make or break my max

ill get more pics up of the before and after of my BBK and side pics of the car w/ the rims later

i'm trying to get rid of these 17s and i'm looking to pick up a set of Gs this weekend and restore them, i dont know what color i'm going to paint them yet though...but i plan to run those daily...then hopefully get these set of 19s ive been looking at.
Are you looking at another set of those or the Rays?
If you're going with the 7 Spoke G's I'd leave them the OEM gunmetal, it looks the best on a white max. And with the new drop, they'd be pure sexiness

keep the wheels, they look sick. i think all you need is a lip kit and roof spoiler and youll be straght. i think your wheels would look sick polished out, or have them powdercoated black chrome, they have great fitment already and their lightwieght.
Unless your planning on a standard paint colour... My vote is Gunmetal or Black Chrome. Something with just a little shine to it.
I vote no to a 'colour'/black/white.
You could pull off Pearl white but that would be more expensive, and white rims are a pain i the A$$, they'll ALWAYS be dirty looking (brake dust).
What paint options you have in mind?
Meh you can still get them pretty close to the same finish if you get a guy that knows what he's doing.

i rinsed those wheels above off, then hit it with the wire brush to knock off the excessive paint. this pic is of one of the wheels fully sanded w/ 80 grit (yea i know its coarse, i had a reason)...after this pic i did two more wheels, so i have one more left at 80 grit. i had to get the major issues out of the way before i proceeded, i dont want anything to come back and bite me in the cornhole. i am close to ready to start throwing bondo on the wheel rash that i have. i'm psyched!! i maybe trading these, doubt the guy is gona bite, but as for now...i'm still planning to daily these wheels
What color are you gonna paint them? Those would look pretty damn sick on your ride if it's the right color....maybe panda style with gloss black and white on the rim.
