Finally finished the H&R's, took new pics
I would, but it's still the main family car, and I don't think my back can take it anymore since I totalled my S/C'er.

I think once I get the correct size tires, it'll probably fill in the gap a little more. Right now it's only 225/40/18. I want 245/45/18...but my tires are practically new.
I'm lovin it! The 5th gen should have came at this height from the factory. There is still enough wheel gap to not bottom out or rub when the suspenion compresses, but the 4x4 stance is gone for the most part.
Running a larger sidewall will not fill the gap. The gap will be the same but you'll just sit higher off the ground. In fact, when I ran a 245/45/18, a would rub the fender lining on full turns. Keep the size you have now. Your speedo will also be off by a decent amount.
Look for the tire size calculator and use it...

I had 245 45 18 on the G35 sedan sport wheels for a while and it looked horrible. They also rubbed the fender lining, but my car is much lower than yours. I would go with 235-40-18 or 245-40-18. I have 245-40-18 now and only rub with a full load or when going over big bumps.

Why? I have 245/45/18 and I like the way it looks a lot better...granted my spedometer was reading high before, so now it's more accurate than before (normally it would throw it off pretty bad) and I got the tires for free....but as far as looks go, I like the 245/45/18s
To the OP: all you need is some spacers in the back and it'll look great.

have those H&Rs fully settled in the pics? That is a REALLY subtle drop still leaving a lot of front wheel gap..is that the look you were expecting from the H&Rs? The car looks good with the G35 wheels just IMHO there is still too much front wheel gap but it definately looks better than stock
