Big Body Sittin' Low (Non-Maxima, Nissan Related)

This was supposed to be my secondary project behind my A32 so it got bumped up when I lost the Max. 1990 Q45 with 113k miles. I looked for a low miles, (somewhat) running G50 with a good interior since I knew I would be doing work anyway.

The car sat in the driveway for a couple months, then a couple more in the shop getting a slew of engine and brake maintenance/repairs. Got her back about 48 hours ago and proceeded immediately to the slamming. Also showed the engine bay a little love.

On to the pics!

Says it all.

Ground clearance is ~2".

Somewhat rare "Shamu"" interior.

Clean and running well.

That's nice. New rims with a nice offset would set it off. Kind of V.I.P stilish

Looks good man. I'm a fan of these VIP style builds. Get rid of that faded purple tint though.

Car looks to be in extremely good condition for a 19 year old car. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

I was gonna reply on VSC but i'm not verified yet.

Good start. Maintinance and suspension should be the first thing on everyones list. Makes the car look and run way better. What wheels you plan on goin with if you dont mind.

i already made a choice on wheels (for now at least) and did something unexpected. i went rare old school jdm 3 piece 17s:

i dunno why... this car is kinda telling me what to do to her. completely unexpected. i will eventually be rebuilding the wheels with some custom touches. 3 pc. ftmfw.

the maxima got flooded and scrapped. new i30 build some time this year.

everybody seems to think they know my style so well. lol. what works on one car doesn't necessarily work (or work for me) on another. what i had planned for this car when i bought it is completely different than how it's going to turn out. once i got it running right, slammed it, and drove it around a little it gave off a strong old school vibe so that's what i'm running with.

Um....to each his own (concerning the wheels) I guess. They just scream "20 year old car" to me, instead of VIP style...

Nice interior though.

1) who said anything about vip style?

2) most people don't understand vip enough for me to worry about it.

Nice find. I would have loved to see these in 18" minumum though. But if the car is leading you to an old school build, rock those 17s hard. Whats the specs on these wheels by the way?

Looks nice man, I"m a fan of the 17" rims. I was thinking of rocking 15" BBS rims and dropping her on bags, but with a kid on the way, I don't that would be prudent.

i can dig it. g50s pull of 18s like most cars pull off 19s, so i figured a slammed stock body q could pull 17s like other cars built similarly pull 18s. we'll see.

specs are nothing impressive (yet); 8/9 +30/36. you know how factory tuners do it (especially back in the day). good news is half the reason i bought these wheels is to rebuild them so all that will change.

a32 is a lot newer body style so lm's would be in order vs. rs. to get the i30 low enough to make 17s work is a task in itself.
