Finally! My Crimson Blaze A32!
I'm goin the black out route, there's already a AR2 that went the clear route... Unless you mean tails? Then yes, but I may end up tinting them or not, that's still up in the air, but I will be getting some red-clears. As for exhaust? Nahhh, I already have the Y-Pipe so any exhaust that I add will sound like poo' in the low range, plus I don't need any more attention to my car, I like slipping by cops unnoticed because I'm a sedan >.>...
I only know of two other AR2 maximas on the forum, I'm the only one in the midwest/texas area for sure, besides it being insanely rare and looking pretty awzum, there's nothing much else to it.
P.S. More pics from the trip returning to KS (the sunset makes it look burgundy, oooh ever so sexy)

That said, I think it looks great on the car and I always wanted one that color....the only ones I ever saw for sale were in bad shape, sadly. Live the dream for me maaaan!
It's a good car dude. Did you do all of the mods? At first glance I thought I was gonna hate the red painted interior, but I friggin love it now, only thing I hate mod wise is the mirror around the gauges :yuck:
I've seen only two on the forum (besides mine) and mine is the only one I've seen in person.
This is a hard color to keep, If I do end up owning this car forever, I will get it repainted.

Why oh why did you sell the R34s and fogs
, they're going right back on the car lol. Didn't you have red/clear tails too? Either way it's going near where you had it exterior wise, I'm thinking about swapping the interior switches to red leds, just need to do some photoshop judging first,

.... STILL A BAD@$$ COLOR THO!!
The One That Started It All
Random but I'm bored...
I'm celebrating my 2 year anniversary w/ falling in love w/ maximas by posting the little story that started it all.
We got the 2001 Nissan Maxima SE with around 160k besides the miles there was only one big flaw in it... A non working radiator fan... So it was fine as long as we were above 30mph or so... But when we got to New Orleans and decided to stop for some good ol beignets (spelling?) we were trying to find parking... and well I've never heard the sound of coolant boiling till then on that wonderful 105 degree day.. So we pulled over into this random lot and prayed that we didn't get towed...

Time went by came back and the car was the way we left it... Just a few hundred degrees cooler of course, anyways, got back on the highway and made it home safely.... What only occured after is what began a saga, known as me and the Maxima.
When it first arrived at my house in July 07

We ended up only owning the car for 2 months, there were many complications, one being my mom HATED manual+Houston traffic, but we did agree on one thing, the car was fun, also easy to maintain considering it was an '01 with 160k+ miles on it.
The cars we've owned afterwards just never met up to par with the maxima (Mustang, Camaro, HHR, PT Crusier, Camry, and the Diamante, which came really close to me really liking except that it didn't come in a manual version), and because of that I've still always missed owning one up until now!!!!
The End?

God I love these cars....

Car Update
I'll do it in order or events...
First. My radio finally arrived, the Kenwood DPX503, in terms of functionality it's nowhere near the Pioneer, but it looks so gosh darn cool, that well... I honestly couldn't care how hard it is to use.
This is how I have the colors currently setup.

Then next, my slave cylinder hose started to leak on the way back home, so I had to buy a new one and bleed the clutch... but while I was out buying supplies...

Some @$$hole decided to back into me and not leave any info, leaving me (my insurance wont cover hit n runs) to pay for the damage. And that's been my week so far...

I know right? I can't ever have all 3 together.... Interior/Exterior/Engine... One is always not right... for the longest i've had the interior in pieces because I've been saving for the radio, as soon as I installed it, within 12hrs the slave hose takes a ****, then within 24 hrs of that some d-bag hits it. Blahhh, atleast the radio looks cool..... Good thing i'm not prone to seizures cause the radio can change colors to the beat and well, I killed about 30 mins just looking at it spaz out....
I have a really hard time commiting to red/clears because they look too much like an EJ8 civic imo.

My friend's Boosted D16Y8

Some picture I found on google images...
I'm getting fogs next week though.

I'm getting fogs next week though.
That's what I'm thinking about doing when I eventually get them. But for now, fogs, then my car gets garaged for the winter.
I really want LED tails though, I'm so undecided about the tail lights, this is the real reason why I haven't done anything to them yet.
Only thing I'm sure about is A) I don't want the amber turn signals anymore, B) I Don't want them to resemble a EJ8 in any way.

LED boards can be put in pretty easily, and you can do whatever with the signals and reverse lights at the same time.
My opinion...LED brake lights, and do the red clear thing with the signals and revers lights, but put on a coat of spray tint on the clear pieces and also paint the inner tail light housing gloss black. It'll give it a darker look.
Oh, and I found a crimson blaze 99 on craigslist for sale here in Dallas for $1500. Body and interior were in excellent shape, but it had a blown motor. I responded to the ad but never heard anything back. Dammit. Wouldve been perfect for my GF.

Well I kinda wanted to get rid of all of the red in the tail lights, just have them black and white. It depends on what my front end is doing, whatever I have in the front is what will be going on in the back.
I hate you. Good thing he didn't respond... I'd like to think I'm special...
But when I come back down I-35 and I see a Crimson Blaze Maxima in your area, I will run it off the road
.
lol believe it or not but when i bought the max it didnt come with fog lights, i had to buy them seprate, im either buying a 4gen again or ill be buying a lexus gs300
Thanks! It's the only reason to buy a '99 IMO.
Both are great cars, both having one downfall, maxima FWD, G-ride auto.

So after completing this a few days ago...

All of my friends were in town and we tried to get together for a photoshoot... most of the people either bailed or showed up too late so we didn't get any group shots in but we did get some kickass shots of my car and my friend's old school Saab.

"Oh hai there"

And my friend's Saab turbo 900 (Remember the blue one from last page? That one is his and it has a bent rod somewhere, so he's driving the old 900 around that his family just keeps cause it's too old to get rid of...)

i wonder how many AR2s were actually produced.

took the words right outta my mouth
