Uhmmm 03-05 Coupe IIRC, some Sedans have em too, but they are not staggered though.

Sidenote, apparently my car looks like a 240 sans grill, 4 different car enthusiast who spot me on the road swear it's a S14 240 from far away until I get close lol.

Well as I found out today, driving without your hood is not illegal in TX, or the cops do not care enough to pull you over for it.

Why was I driving without a hood you ask?

Oh no reason....

I have no idea what brand it is, it is none of the major ones, some off brand, fitment is close, just needs weatherstripping and it should be like stock, well better than stock, because my old hood was broken, had stripped screws and bent. I don't know if you noticed this most of my modding is motivated by repairs, EG. when my 5mt went out I go 6spd, to fix my exhaust leak I just got headers... Killing ants with a rocket launcher ftw.

I think for lulz until I can get it painted I will get a junkyard trunk and wrap it in CF, that way I have some balance/matching going on. Also I will be putting a grill back on the car too, again after the order of CF wrap comes in.

I do admit.... With a CF hood, I actually like running like a landshark (no grill)...

Yes, I will have the hood painted to match the rest of the car, paint will not negate the near 50lb savings that I've attained with this hood.

I'm glad that you are enjoying my hood and taillights

If you look at the hood closely, you can see the brand embedded in it. I cannot remember what it is. It is somewhere close to the top where the windshield squiters would be. Casey can tell you what brand it is.

P.S. I miss my max already

The trunk? Just vinyl, I really don't care enough to spend good money on it, just a side project for lulz to help offset the unblanced look I have now.

Ah, honestly why even waste any money on the vinyl then?
Having just the CF hood will look much better then having a real CF hood and the cheap looking CF Vinyl trunk.
I know you said its for laughs, but just seems like a total waste of time to wrap it and good money.
Your car though.

Carbon Fiber wrap $67 shipped.
Trunk from a junkyard $20
Total $87

Pros:
Fun project
Cheap

Cons:
Won't look as good as the real deal

-vs-

Carbon Fiber Trunk from Ionic Dynamics $650

Pros:
Looks good...
Save like 4lbs

Cons:
Cost $650
Only saves like 4lbs.....
Highly doubt it'll even match my hood
Will have an extremely hard time selling it for even $500 and on top of it I'd have to ship it most likely which is a b****

Honestly, if it really looks that bad, I can just scrap the trunk and put on my old stock one, no love lost there, I took on a project, finished it, learned from it move on. To me it's part of the hobby of modding cars...

As you can see I've made up my mind on the matter, kind of hard to change my stance on the subject now.

Is it anywhere near enough to justify $650??? I know it's nowhere near as much as the hood, it was under my assumption that the trunk was mainly visual because of how little weight was lost.

I mean if I'm loosing like 30lbs then I will actually consider it.

Does the OEM trunk even weigh 30lb?

No lol, I remember reading somewhere the weight saved on a CF trunk is negligible, it was a purely aesthetic mod.

I could be wrong, I'll wait to hear from Flava about this.

He says "much more" so I'm hoping for like 30lbs, then I can justify $650 for it.

Really? Awesome!!! Makes me not want to paint it, I wonder if I can get a sticker for it somewhere so I can stick it under the hood.

All thanks to Maximized98 for the great deal on the hood, really cool guy wish he didn't sell his max

...No wait, I'm glad he sold his max....

What I said was
much more then 4lbs
The CF trunk weighed in right under 20lbs, so no not the 30 your looking for but more then the 4lbs you were assuming.

Aw

Well wrapping it is, I was getting all excited maybe I could cut down on more weight.

But I won't be wrapping it for awhile, I have other important things to fix on this car (LIKE THE RADIO, UGH).

Soooo I have acquired some 2003 Maxima Front Brakes for the low lowwww, and I'm throwing on the ride cause I'm strapped for cash and I need brakes.

The rotors are 11.5" and are a little bit thicker than my stock 11" rotors, but the calipers are the same :/ (pretty much), either way I pulled em from a 03 maxima with 8k miles on them, can't really beat that especially @ the price I got it (free.99).

So, I took a dremel+sanding attachments to them to get a layer or two off to expose some metal before painting....

After some paint on one calp, and the other taped up and ready to go...

Final representation...

Also here's all of the goodies I NEED to install tomorrow night before I goto MSR.... I will have a looong day tomoro.....

-Complete front brakes from an '03 Maxima
-Working rear calipers (ones that don't drag and now a fully function parking brake, yay) from a --lower mileage 4th gen maxima.
-SS Brake lines all around
-Aluminum Rear motor mount

If I have the extra time I may tackle some leftover wiring from my 6mt swap, I doubt it but it'd be nice to no longer have a paperclip holding the signal wire for the starter... Well at least I have the starter harness out of that 03 maxima so one day it'll look stock... (Only thing left is the PNRP switch and the Gear sensor)
