Redoing the trunk with a custom sub box

This is my 97, made a custom foam and plywood floor to make it all level and there is a spare tire door for access to the spare. I used fatmat rattletrap on all the metal surfaces and sprayed out the spare tire are afterward with truck bed liner.

If you look closely at the floor near the speakers you can see the seams in the carpet to the door. I still have to build a side box for the amp. My first ever sub boxes and yeah I know xplod are on the cheap end but they provide enough bass and actually sound pretty good. Boxes built with 3/4" MDF and they contour the shape of the car trunk at the back.

I'll post some more, and yeah they are sony xplod as mentioned by me at the start. For the money they are pretty darn good sound and loudness wise. I can see people not liking them if they have had them or heard them and now have better, but I know people that have never had them or heard them that go by rep, or that they are "cheap".

That said I'm thinking of putting Memphis Audio or JL Audio in my daughters Tiberon. Mine was a low budget experiment. She is 17 and wants a bit more bump in the trunk .
